And he used to work for Mitt. I'm sure the former Massachusetts governor is breathing a sigh of relief.

A former aide to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney who also played a leadership role in Iowa's College Republicans was arrested by Des Moines-area police earlier in the week on outstanding warrants related to his status as a convicted sex offender.

Matthew Joseph Elliott, aged 26, and identified in numerous accounts as Matt Elliott, was arrested on Jan. 21 for outstanding warrants relating to his registered sex offender status, according to the <Polk County government website. TheIowa registry of sex offenders also shows that he was convicted of exploiting a minor and given a "low" risk assessment.

Take a look at another Young Republican of high morals, and a video of the College Republican National Convention below the fold.

Former National Young Republican Chairman, Glenn Murphy is part of this family values club. He's the guy arrested for sexually assaulting a sleeping man, performing oral sex on him (image of police report here). Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC10) supported him for the National Young Republican Chairmanship.

Here's the generation that will not sacrifice a damn thing in Dear Leader's Big Military Misadventures -- they want to let the poor do the fighting. These College Republicans have important work to do on the home front. Listen to all of the lame excuses why they just can't serve (but they would if they could, you know).

Max Blumenthal takes us on a hilarious and shocking tour of the College Republican National Convention, where the GOP's next generation cheer on the war in Iraq, then make sorry excuses for why they can't serve. Also featuring Tom DeLay, brainwashed evangelical youth, and moving interpretive dance by Blumenthal.

...How defensive over-privileged people can get when their own hypocrisy is exposed...?

Good work, Max!

had cameras ejected?

For some of us, the first amendment is holy writ. For Delay and his ilk, it is a troublesome disruption.

I don't know about you guys, but for some reason this doesn't surprise me one little bit.

Mr. Romney seems to have a penchent for surrounding himself with questionable persons. My, my, could we say "does this reflect on his character?"

And these punks are in college? It really makes you fearful for the future. Surely these are not the best and the brightest?

I have several friends that are active duty military. Ask them why they serve & they tell me "it is my job" or "I am honored to serve my country" I haven't found one of them that truly believes in this war but they honor the oath they took & do their jobs. No BS excuses about their freaking asthma!

Are all the Cons in the closet? It doesn't matter if they're gay, but being liars about every facet of their being does. They live a lie, they're straight, upright family men and they're not. GOP means Gay Old Party. I could respect them if they wouldn't lie about who they really are. They're gay. There's nothing wrong with that, being a homophobe and a liar, there's plenty wrong with that. Come out of the closets you Con morons..Isn't it crowded in there?
