After Huckabee blew the landing at his press conference, the Huckabus made its way over to his office nearby where a Ron Paul throng was shouting and a group of anti-war protesters had made their way into his office with signs saying "who would Jesus bomb?"

Eight members of Iowa Occupation Project and Voices for Creative Nonviolence wanted to know how Huckabee rationalized his Christian background with his support for the war in Iraq:

Eight members of the Iowa Occupation Project and Voices for Creative Nonviolence arrived at Huckabee's Locust St. campaign office early Monday afternoon, waiting for the former Arkansas governor's reply to a letter delivered two months ago that sought his pledge to completely withdraw from Iraq within 100 days of assuming office; halt all military actions against Iraq and Iran; fund the rebuilding of Iraq as well as health, education and infrastructure needs in the U.S.; and "...the highest quality health care, education and jobs training benefits for veterans of our country's Armed Services."

I guess Huckabee wasn't much interested in giving an answer because he had them arrested.

let's go even farther back to the bad old days. I just have to quote that fabulous comediene Kate Clinton here:

"...just how far IS Cher going to turn back time? And when is she going to stop?"

People, people, PEOPLE!!!!! Do you hear yourselves? Do you want to return to the days of this kind of oppression? Yes, I know - it's not that we haven't been dragged their by the Bush administration but please, let's get this country moving forward again!

Does anyone still see a future here?

Either the first comment (please clarify--are ya talkin' 'bout the candidate or the protesters?) or Hucksterbee supporters OR Hucksterbee....The guy is so obviously a freaky-deaky wack job, insanely ambitious religious nut, with his "down home" humor, that it makes one ill...I just don't get it. If he gets the Repug nod, it will be funny just to see how many sheeple vote for the guy.

It's not "news", but worth a mention that every person I know who professes similar religious zealotry is just as hypocritical... These people can't face themselves, much less address war protesters. Honest leaders do not shy away from opposition, they invite it and then eat it for breakfast. Not so these:

Murderous Liars and Thieves who were first in line with hammers and nails, mocking and killing Jesus of Nazareth for teaching Forgiveness, Love, Peace and Healing!

I can't resist leaving off with one quote for any self-deceived ChristoFascists reading this:

MATT. 18:6

"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones (children) which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."

... you can guess what I think about that verse in the context of 600,000 dead Iraqi Children!

Huckabee is a preacher because religion is a profitable business.
Part of the definition of psychopath is that they cannot be
educated on the subject of right and wrong, even/especially if they
are preachers. The required part of their brain is just missing.
There is no cure. Since they don't care, about anything,
they seek excitement or drugs. Since 4% of all people are born
psychopaths, eradicating or jailing them all would be difficult
even if you had the authority. You are not likely to get the
authority. The difference between sociopaths/sciopaths and
psychopaths may be that sociopaths & sciopaths are made that
way by child abuse and psychopaths are born that way, but I don't
know. Please read this book: "The sociopath next door : the
ruthless versus the rest of us" by Martha Stout. New York :
Broadway Books, 2005.
A written test, the MMPI [Minnesota Multiphasic Personality
Inventory] can identify sociopaths. The MMPI should be
administered in high school along with the college boards, or
possibly to all high school students. Those with failing grades on
the MMPI should be excluded from certain jobs, like president.
According to Wikipedia, psychopathy is currently defined.... as a
condition characterized by lack of empathy or conscience, and
poor impulse control or manipulative behaviors. The term is
often used interchangeably with sociopathy and antisocial
personality disorder......It is correlated with antisocial personality
disorder......Only a minority of diagnosable psychopaths are
violent offenders.... The manipulative skills of some of the others
are valued for providing audacious leadership. Some have argued
that psychopathy is adaptive in a highly competitive environment,
because it gets results for both the individual and the corporations
they represent. However, these individuals will often cause long-
term harm, both to their co-workers and the organization as a
whole, due their manipulative, deceitful, abusive, and often
fraudulent behavior. Religion is a scam, pure and simple.
If sociopaths were identified, they could be kept out of politics.
The problem is that almost all politicians and CEOs may be
sociopaths given that 4% of all people are sociopaths. 4% is a lot
of people. The voters have a right to know the MMPI scores of
the candidates before the election.

Huckabee is just a Christo-fascist in a populist disguise. He would like to start rounding up the dissenters, gays, atheists, Rastas, and watch out minorities, because those people usually come after you too, and they like round-ups. That good old boy stuff is just a cover for facism. This guy is dangerous.

C'mon who's the jerk here? Huckabee, for calling the law on trespassers, or those on this blog that have no respect for anything but their own bias against traditions and moral values?

They made their point and got their press, but I'd have folks arrested too, if they were interfering with my ability to do business. What if a doctor was holding a pro-choice press conference in his office and anti-abortion protesters came in and interrupted? Would you think that was all free speech or would you respect the doctor's right to throw them out?

This says all we need to hear about the Reverend Huckabee's attitude towards free speech and dissent. How would he use the vast, unconstitutional new powers the executive branch has arrogated to itself since 2001? It appears that the only amendment in the Bill of Rights he respects is the Second, and that in a perverse reading.

Only An Idiot!

The way I look at Huckleberry Hound Dog (AKA Huckabee) is only an idiot would vote for this idiot. If you start to look into his history in politics; it becomes a frightening story of a man with real mental health issues who has been able to continue his pursuit of politics under the guise of divine intervention; God commands him to run for president. The fact that he claims to talk with god on a regular basis adds to his diagnosis of acute psychosis. Now I know many people talk to god; through prayer; meditation; whatever. Those people do not scare me; it is the ones who claim that god has and/or is speaking to them. Being an atheist based on my christian up-bringing; whereas nothing ever taught to me proved even slightly the existence of a god; I believe I am correct in assuming that anyone who claims that god is speaking to them is schizophrenic. The current president and the majority of his administration and political appointees is proof that the republican party is full of people suffering from schizophrenia. They too believe they are part of a “divine intervention” to make the world a better place for them. I like to think of all republicans as people filling their pockets with weighted gold coins on a sinking ship with no life boats. For all of their insanity and greed; they will all wind-up drowning by their own hands. I guess the expect god to save them in the end.

Mr. Huckabee is a "Police State Advocate"; that is to say... he opposed to the common law where there needs to be a injured victim to constitute a crime; common law (Law Enforcement)ie. the elected sheriff and the citizens posse.

The government of "We the People" has been overthrown circa 1865; if you are tired of summary beatings, tasering and executions carried out by the un-elected corporate security patrol a.k.a. your local and state police... Elect a Sheriff who will do law enforcement with a citizens posse.

Necessary for the security of a "Free State" the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed... NOW YOU KNOW THE TRUE MEANING OF THE 2ND. AMMENDMENT
