Will Bush Be Forced to Pay Back the $5 Billion He Wasted?

Posted by Howie Klein, Down With Tyranny! at 11:03 AM on December 24, 2007.

While Musharraf was cracking jokes at Bush's expense he was stealing billions of American taxpayer dollars from the clueless Texas clod.

If you watched The Daily Show when John Stewart had the smooth and chatty military dictator Pervez Musharraf on as his guest, you probably got an inkling of the disdain, if not outright contempt-- in which he (Musharraf) holds Bush. He cracked up the audience by asserting that a Bush vs bin-Laden mayoral race in Karachi wouldn't leave the residents with any acceptable choices. But while Musharraf was cracking jokes at Bush's expense he was stealing billions of American taxpayer dollars from the clueless Texas clod. The Pakistanis ripped the Bush Regime every way from here to Sunday-- and then some.

After the United States has spent more than $5 billion in a largely failed effort to bolster the Pakistani military effort against Al Qaeda and the Taliban, some American officials now acknowledge that there were too few controls over the money. The strategy to improve the Pakistani military, they said, needs to be completely revamped.

One diplomat told the NY Times he wondered if the Americans hadn't been taken for a ride. You think? Is this another charge-- albeit a relatively minor one-- that can be added once Pelosi puts you-know-what back on the table? Sooner or later, it all catches up with you and I can't wait to watch it catch up with Bush and the disgraceful lot of rogues who peopled his illegitimate regime.

My Hope - Maybe A Fantasy

Considering the money they have wasted or downright stolen - and the other crimes they have committed my dream is that in January 2009 a democratic president takes office with a democratic congress and they begin prosecution of this crowd. I also would like to see them (Bush, Cheney, Rummy et al) tried internationally for war crimes. Call it Nuremburg 2.

The suffering they have caused here and in the overall world, physically, financially, and emotionally is staggering. They must be held accountable.

Bush sent billions of cash dollars strapped to pallets and dropped them in Iraq

where most of the money went unaccounted for and much of the rest is known to have been squandered and/or used illegally. He invaded Iraq to disarm Saddam and left huge weapons depots unguarded while looters and militias cleaned them out before most of the U.S. troops reached Baghdad. For that matter, Bush later claimed that the real reason for invading Iraq was because of its tie to terrorism, which did not exist before he invaded, meaning that they entire cost of the invasion and subsequent occupation was a waste, to say nothing of a thicket of war crimes and crimes against humanity. He has not been held accountable for any of this (thank you, honorable members of Congress). And you are asking if he will need to repay a few billion dollars propping up one of America's vast collection favored dictators and warlords because he turned out to be a dictator and a war lord? Um, did any of the presidents before Bush ever pay a dime for the money they wasted on, say, Saddam Hussein, Augusto Pinochet, or Manuel Noriega?

Ho! Ho! Ho! You must be joking.

It's ironic that Bush was trying to cozy up to India, the world's new economic powerhouse, by offering them nuclear (er, sorry, nucular) assistance whilst funding Pakistan's military and terrorist campaign against them. The Indians are smarter than Texans and smelled a rat.

Pakistan played a key role in the false flag operation also known as 9/11. Musharraf and the ISI have to be continually bribed to play along, especially now that they may have to take a fall to facilitate a limited hangout option of the cover-up. Platinum parachutes all around is SOP.

The more you know about the events of 9/11/01, the more you know the government myth can't be true.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

And it only took SIX Years for "Our" U.S. Officials to catch on! Then, to top off this travesty, the "response" was to limit the "aid" to Pakistan, but NOT the much more (money wise) costly Military Build Up where the BIG Money was/is being stolen! "Our" Officials must think We are as Stupid as They are! Isn't it TIME to STOP this "Brain Dead and Proud to Prove it" type of "Government"?!

... nothing is going to happen to these guys. Gutless, in cahoots Dems are going to let them just leave office and in ten years when the famous short memory of the great amuricun masses kicks in we'll be naming airports and aircraft carriers after these bastards, just like was done with Reagan. When the people didn't rise up and go to the streets and shut the country down in 2000 when the court "selected" Bush over Gore, the game was lost.
