Was Trent Lott Involved With a Gay Male Escort?

Posted by GottaLaff , Brave New Films at 4:56 AM on November 27, 2007.

GottaLaff: Could this be true? The escort in question denies it but how does that explain "the email and other records?"

I've always been called fair-minded, so I'll post the update first:

It looks like a Washington DC-based blog called BigHeadDC is making claim that there was (or, is) a working relationship between myself and Senator Trent Lott. There are falsely pieced-together quotes that serve no purpose other than to sensationalize a completely fabricated scoop.

I will continue to offer a great sense of confidentiality to the people I see. I have not, nor have I ever seen or had contact with Senator Trent Lott. It's as simple as that. It never happened.

Benjamin Nicholas

What's up with that, Benjamin?

Now here's the allegation, via Daily Kos' lost (the BigHeadDC site is down due to traffic):

According to the post:

Once upon a time, there was a twentysomething boy-next-door type with reddish blond hair and a brilliantly white smile. Not one to shy away from attention, he wrote a blog called "Fifteen Minutes," and also became a freelance writer for various publications, including The Stranger in Seattle. He'd often focus on his non-traditional lifestyle as a gay male escort -- a topic that often fascinated his readers, which, in turn, helped him to garner a substantial amount of powerful business acquaintances through the years.

The boy happens to be real, and his "stage name" is Benjamin Nicholas. One of the politicos Big Head DC has learned he's alleged to have been involved with is the married Sen. Trent Lott, 66, who unexpectedly announced his retirement on Monday. Lott is well-known to have been against a plethora of gay rights issues throughout his terms in Congress. He was also good friends with Sen. Larry Craig throughout his time in Congress.

Nicholas told Big Head DC today via e-mail that he didn't want to go on the record to talk about his dealings with Lott, because, said Nicholas, "Trent is going through his fair share of scrutiny right now and I don't want to add to it." However, e-mail and other records confirm that the two have met on at least two occasions.

"All I can say at this point is no comment," Nicholas told us. "It's the professional thing for me to do."

It's speculated that Larry Flynt is working on the story. But Flynt will not comment on it.

Paddy posted on some Trent Lott/Larry Flynt speculation earlier, and I posted the original Larry Flynt story as well.

Could this be it? Not according to Nicholas. But how does that explain the email and other records.... ?

Stay tuned.

I THOUGHT SO!

Just yesterday I posted:...There's more to this than Lott just wanting to be a lobbyist.

This is stinks of a smokescreen.

Karl Rove needs him for something or he's about to be indicted or outed.

I really haven't a clue just yet, but I sense very strongly that there's more to this story than meets the eye.

We can only wait and see....

************
Now, only one day later, Trent Lott is being outed. I wonder how much $$$$ Trent is paying Nick to keep quiet.

But it's too late. Larry Flynt has had the goods on Lott for a while now. And others as well.

Lets face it, boys and girls-the whole world's a stage and Washington D.C. has a lock on the title of Strenge but True. Apparantly the whole city is the personification of a country
headed for the out house.

Put a fence around the city and charge admission to get into it. Disneyland Central.

Why not just state his case and get it over with? Instead of hearing all the speculation and late night comedy. His timing was awful with the Mid-East Peace thing going on. I guess we'll just have to wait. They can't all be in the closet, can they? ANNA

A Senator doesn't go through a long campaign and a year later decide to give up the power unless there's a pretty good reason. I think everyone was waiting for the other shoe to drop. I read Jay Leno said he may write his own material and bring back some fresh shows. He must have been tipped off.

Lott in college

A friend of mine, who was a college classmate of Trent Lott, told me she thought he was gay all along. I know this means nothing in and of itself, but there seems to be a pattern of highly placed repubs diving for the exits...

Alternet has no business posting these kinds of headlines!

I hate these smear headlines that are posed as questions...it is the stuff of the supermarket tabloids. We should be above this stuff. What is next?

Is Obama really a child molester? (shown with the accompanying photo of him kissing a little white girl!)

Is Hillary really a tranny? (shown with a photoshop photo of her with an enlarged adam's apple and an unsightly bulge in her pants!)

Come-on, we can do much better than this type of sensationalism. Wait until there is actual proof, then bring the story, but if you have to announce it with a "?", you got nothing!

I am so sick of these low-lifes turning out be gay that I'm seriously considering going back in the closet for a spell of fresh air. I mean, the very thought that I may actually be hitting on a Republican when I cruise the hotspots makes me wonder whether or not abstinence isn't a bad thing.

The Trent Lott-Larry Craig connection

If I'm not mistaken, Lott and Craig are "roomates" in Washington, and have been for years.

Coincidence? I think not.
