So let me see if I have this straight: CNN anchor and professional xenophobic fucknut Lou Dobbs is considering a run for president, but only if billionaire Demorepublindependent Michael Bloomberg first enters the race as a third-party candidate, alongside the Dem and GOP nominees, because then and only then will Dobbs be able to fill the coveted "fourth-party candidate" slot, from which position he would then launch an offensive against all three other candidates as being "completely out of touch."

That's the craziest shit I've ever heard.

Okay, it's not the craziest shit I've ever heard, but it's the craziest shit I've heard in the last couple of hours, and that includes a half hour of Cops when I was too lazy to find something decent to watch before Ninja Warrior came on.

So, ya know, pretty crazy.

...Democrats and Republicans who pass the Patriot Act TWICE, legalize torture and illegal spying, pass a bankruptcy bill that helps the rich and hurts the poor, give us Supreme Court Justice Alito, and won't promise to get us out of Iraq by 2013?

The only time i turn off the Tv is when he goes on is immigration rant. But when he is talking about the Corporate corruption in this country, he is on fucking point. As long as there is someone to control his immigration hate, i would vote for him

...that only philandering lawyers, crooked lawyers, crooked (and bad, even then) businessmen, and mooovie stahs should be considered for the post of The Decider?

CNN anchor and professional xenophobic ____nut...

That's the craziest ____ I've ever heard.

Indeed! What this republic really needs is to pick a dynasty and just stick with it. Throw term-limits out the window, too, by golly. Why did your 'Merica start getting cozy with quitters, after all?

Anyway, way to go! I think more people should incorporate the f-bomb in their daily vernacular to put those "agitation for change" hair-on-fire loonies in their place, and feel good doing it. Expletives are an always vogue substitute for reason, or knowledge.

I'll fire the second salvo: Laws and borders are for silly ninnies!

Oops. My filter seems to be defective: it won't let me sit at my keyboard and bray like an ignorant cross between a horse and a mule.

Crazy, indeed. But it would do a beautiful job of splitting the wingnut vote right down the middle and ensuring that a reasonable Democrat makes it into office.

I find the critics of Dobbs entering politics to prefer listening to propaganda...from whichever perspective is in the two-party and disabled list...than to listen to Lou's strong and heartfelt interrogations. He has a super-ego and super-intellect........and does not "dodge the bullet". He has the genius to make "play-action-plays", not back-down, all the while listen and accomodate the other person. Lou Dobbs gets the facts...and gets them right. One may not agree with his conclusions....so let the majority prevail. He would make a president that we could all take pride in representing our people.

I am not real sure that Mr. Dobbs would make a good President but after Bush, my dog would do just fine.

I have no longer any faith in either party as both are in the pockets of the money folks. If we could convince Americans to stay home for an hour or two, quit going to Wal-Mart and actually find out what is going on in this fine land of ours, contact the boys and girls in DC and let them know that they do not own our vote, then something might get done. Until an amendment to our Constitution forces all candidates to accept a very limited amount of money from the Government in their run for any office, we will continue down this path until such time as another reveolution happens. Look at History and you will see what I am talking about. Our own revolution was only some 300 years ago. We can have another.

Where do I sign up for it?

We could do worse...like anyone on the Republican ticket. I actually find myself agreeing with Dobbs more than disagreeing, although I thought his negative rant was unfounded when Mexico's President Fox was going to legalize marijuana. Dobbs is not a one issue man, but he does have his priorities. I do not agree that illegal immigration should be our number one threat...no way. Is it a problem...yes, but global warming dwarfs it by comparison. Someday Dobbs is going to wish he had spent a little more time on climate change.

The author has apparently never watched Lou Dobbs in any great depth - too bad, because if she had she would have heard him be very deliberate in stating that he will not run for President, nor does he have any interest in doing so. (Something by the way that he stated unequivocally just 5 days ago on his show.) He feels that his place is to be the conscience of our politicians by challenging them to act in the interests of the American people. He has stated that he does not want to go to Washington as a politician because someone should be holding them accountable for their actions, and he feels that this is what he wants to do with his career - make politicians squirm by presenting them with facts that they cannot refute because their own offices produced those facts or some other government agency or watchdog organization made available under the Freedom of Information Act.

I find it amazing that so many of the writers here dismiss Lou Dobbs because of his stand on immigration. I wonder when they are going to wake up to the facts, and then I realize that will happen when their children can only speak Spanish; they cannot read a ballot; and they have lost their jobs and homes to illegal immigrant rights over citizen rights. Lou Dobbs might make a good president, but he recognizes that this is not where he will function best and has stated as much quite often.

Maybe the author of this article should watch his show more often, and get a better perspective on where he stands and why, and maybe come to understand that he truly has no intention of running for President. What he hopes for is that someone will come forward who is willing to take on the Hillary's and Rudy's and other corrupt politicians, and restore this country to a free democracy, not a constitutional monarchy where the Constitution is repeatedly trampled on by the likes of Bush, Cheney, Hillary, Pelosi, and the rest of the rat's nest that Washington, DC.

He really stands for the middle class. He is concerned about fair trade practices, consumer safety, and coruption in the government. Don't be so hung up on his immigration stance. He has no problem with legal immigrants. BTW, how do you think Mrs. Dobbs feels? She is of Mexican heritage.

I have tried to watch this guy, and his commentary has been deteriorating. He goes off on obsessional tangents. There is no way this guy is of solid mind. I cannot imagine anyone taking his financial advice and his social advice is irrational. I think he is running for president of his own mind. Hope he wins.

I like and respect Lou Dobbs tremendously. I wish some of the bozos we have in D.C. had just a trace of his intelligence, courage, and character. He truly has the welfare of our country at heart and is not afraid to express his opinion. AND HE IS RIGHT!!! I'd love to be able to vote for him. (I hope it will be noted that I was able to express this opinion without having to use the "s" word, the "f" word and all the other words that some must think makes them sound really cool and with it? yeah, uh-huh---reminds me of 5th graders grabbing a smoke and feeling like they're just so big, tough too!)

I'm a fan of Lou Dobbs he sees that the corporations which are almost totally out of control criminals are running and ruining this country..!

As a REAL Democrat I am for the little guy and working guy who suffers due to ILLEGAL Immigration..not the already 2 million we allow to enter America every year..!

Only the rich and corporate exploiters are in favor of this Invasion and or borders beign wide open and any criminal disease and yes even terrorists enter...

Nobody on TV criticizes G.W. Bush and or more angrily then Lou Dobbs..!

If Lou Doobs were to run for President compared to Hillary Clinton or Giuliani he'd win hands down..!

We don't need another angry person...bursting out with negative comments on TV..We need a leader someone that does not waste precious TV time on attaching others but someone that represents strong leadership...Attacking others only shows weakness'. Lou your a nice guy stay that way...You don't belong in Politics...

Lou Dobbs is a good man, but not a president

When I used to watch television Lou Dobbs was one of my favorites. He seemed to be one of the few media personalities who talked about things that affected regular people; I could relate on a personal basis to his view of things.

Lou is in the same camp as the likes of Keith Olbermann when it comes to criticism of big government and business. Sometimes these media people speak the truth and the people pay attention and respect these individuals for their beliefs and views.

I have often wondered, however, how and why these kinds of folks like Lou and Keith are able to disseminate the kinds of things that they do without raising the ire of their superiors. The superiors of course are those individuals who are mindful of the people that pay the bills. Offending the people that pay the bills are what makes the system work or not work as the case may be.

With the above in mind you might have thought about the viability of either Lou or Keith as being presidential material. It is fanciful thought at best I think you would agree. These are just media personalities filling a much needed slot in their respective media times. You would not be watching these kinds of shows if these people were not saying things that you agreed with. They make you feel good and that is their job; to keep you feeling good - in the midst of all the adversity that you are surrounded with. They are performing a function, but one of their functions is not going to be president of the United States. As much as you would like to fantasize about such a thing it is not going to happen.

If you are thinking along those lines then the promoters of these kinds of shows have done their jobs well.

This is not say that media or personalities in general cannot make the leap into politics. I would not deny this fact for a moment. President Reagan and the current governor of California are examples of course. Both movie stars and each one, "successful" politicians.

But, my point is that Lou and Keith are performing necessary societal functions in their tasks. They are not going to be presidents even if you think the idea has merit.

The closest thing you are going to get to a "media" personality becoming president is Ron Paul. And, even he will not succeed as much as you like the idea.
