Imagine -- Pat Robertson has sold out to GOP standard bearer of the Homosexual Agenda! Who knew?

One California-based family advocate reacted to that announcement, saying he believes the televangelist sold out the pro-family community by endorsing a candidate who has advocated the transsexual, bisexual, and homosexual agenda.

Now another conservative in the Golden State, Wiley Drake, pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church of Buena Park, is criticizing Robertson for endorsing the former mayor of the Big Apple. Drake argues that Christians cannot support a candidate who favors special rights for homosexuals and who is pro-abortion.

"We're going to encourage people to call in [to CBN] and let them know that until Pat Robertson repents and comes back to the Lord, we will not listen to The 700 Club and we will not make any donations to The 700 Club," he says.

Drake, a former vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), says Christians are never called to put politics over biblical principles.

Hmmm. Giuliani is a pro-war, pro-nuking of Iran, pro-torture, ultra-fascist hard-liner. And all the Religious Right can say about him that is "bad" is that he is supposedly pro-homosexual, which I doubt he really is anyway. That figures.

I'm in favor of anything that will sink the candidacy of rudy the (9-11,HA!) hero. If they want to jump on romney for being a mormon I'm for that, too. Maybe they can also scrutinize McCain for not being tough enough as he's anti-torture. I hope that they rally the bandwagons against enough democrats until Dennis Kucinich is the only one left! Kucinich vs. Paul, and a slight ray of hope for the world.

I have been a pastor/chaplain/church musician for over 40 years and it never ceases to amaze me regarding the hypocrisy of "the" "(c)"hristian right-winged church." As long as "we" non-believers toe the line of the (un)religious right (wrong!), we and our salvation are in good stead. Never mind that Christ died on the cross for all.
Do they care about the disasters of a wrong war against the Middle East poor? Nope. How about the hungry and naked, and unhoused poor in this country and others? Nope. But by God, to hell with the pro-choice people and GLBT people who still serve their God in quietude and gratitude for what Christ did for them.
Shame on you RRW evangelical hypocrites...get on YOUR knees and repent!...Now!

He's split the Religious Right, and split most of them from the Republican Party! Thanks, Rudy; you're finally serving your country!
