Fox News Sunday launched a new series this week called "American Leaders" that seeks to engage "prominent business, cultural and social figures in candid discussion." The first "leader" featured by Fox was former President George H.W. Bush, who gave the network an exclusive interview at his Presidential Library.

In his interview this morning, the former president returned the praise, saying that when he watches TV news, he watches Fox News:

I used to pick up that paper, and turn on the Fox and listen to the news, and say "listen to this, look at this so-and-so, why's he saying that?" I don't do that anymore.

Bush also said that he would like to see another generation of Bushes in public office. "I've got a grandson that would make a wonderfully able public servant if he ran, George P.," said Bush. "And Pierce, Neil's son. They have an interest in politics."

Bush's love of Fox News echoes that of Vice President Dick Cheney, who requires that all televisions in his hotel room be tuned to Fox News whenever he travels. In 2004, Cheney also told "a conference call" of "tens of thousands of Republicans" that he ends up "spending a lot of time watching Fox News."

If the next generation of Bushes were to enter public office, it would likely be more of the same politics put forth by the current president:

- George P. Bush, the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, has been actively involved in his family's political fortunes since 1988, when he spoke at the Republican National Convention as a 12 year old. He was also heavily involved in his uncle's 2000 and 2004 campaigns, working on outreach to the Latino community.

- Pierce Bush, the son of high-priced consultant Neil Bush, worked on his Uncle's 2004 campaign, telling Larry King that "George W.'s done a great job." He also shares some of his uncle's frat boy "folksiness."

For someone to consider another generation of Bushes in public office a good idea, they'd probably have to be watching nothing but Fox News.

Digg!

More Bushes in office?

And the assholes in Texas and Florida are dumb enough to vote for them. Not that a lack of votes ever stopped a Bushit from taking office. With the accent on TAKING.

Bush-Clinton Lock on Presidency

So Hillary wins in 2008.....Bill's libido issues and the Right Wing smear machine bring her down after one term (ironic as she's no progressive/liberal) .....So "Jeb" Bush comes along in 2012 and runs (even though he claims he really doesn't want to and that he's only doing it to restore the nation's "honor" that was lost during the Hillary Clinton administration). A combo of dumbed-down voters, smear/distraction and vote rigging puts Jeb over the finish line.....30+ years of continuous rule by just two families. Isn't our "democracy" a hoot?

Of any more Bush's in office. The current Bush has taken America and flushed it down the proverbial toilet. And has used the Constitution to wipe.
Our Democracy is dead.
We have incompetents from the top down in the Executive branch.
We are in an unwinnable war. The economy is a disaster.
Signing Statements have become Veto's whenever Americans could benefit.
More Bush's????? Not unless they're planted in the White House Garden!!!!!!!!!!!

Ogawd. They're like a virus or mean versions of the brooms in The Sorcerer's Apprentice. If they were really interested in public service, they'd stop reproducing.

OTOH, if they keep at it maybe one of them will actually do some good. Just saying it's the law of averages. I mean it's not like we weren't all put on this earth for the Bushs to fiddle around with.

It Would Require Mass Amnesia

Ironically, one of the prospective candidates is George P. Bush, caught having sex in a car with an underage girl but, being white and well connected, not arrested, much less sentenced to prison. This corrupt, inept, power-hungry, greedy clan (maybe I should spell it with a K?) has done more than enough damage. I don't think there is any way, short of mass amnesia, to resuscitate their legacy and perpetuate their dynasty. Even the redneck, red-state, red-ink fundamentalists are distancing themselves from their erstwhile political messiah.

Tried and convicted of aiding the enemy was what got the Bushies started in American Politics. And like the Nazis, the future Bushes will flee to Paraguay with their Carlyle CIA cocaine /heroine money. Most likely residing in that 100 thousand hectares of land purchased last year when H.W. sent his granddaughters down to the southern continent. Got water? The Bushies state sized land resides on the GuaranĂ Aquifer, which is considered the worlds largest. A precious commodity once the ice caps melt. Have a good day!

Fox, the network of mediocre minds

It's so comforting to hear everything you believe in repeated over and over and over - war on Christmas, no casualties from Iraq, attacks on any soldier who didn't just LOVE his war experience, a collection of puff-chested and wussy males, continual put-downs of women and minorities - no wonder the Ex-Prez's mind is so comfortable with it. The War on Rosie is a reminder to all women to not be so uppity! Why does Fox always call on Rev. Sharpton for the Black viewpoint, 'cause they USE him to create a polarized atmosphere of fear and hatred.
Reminds me that the ex-Prez bailed out of his plane when in trouble, leaving the crew to die at sea. Funny how they did not get the same medals he did!

Neither Pierce Bush or George P. Bush or any other of these useless Bush offsprings have seen fit to serve their country in ways that places their behinds in harm's way, like in Iraq.

And signing up for training in the Naval Reserve does not count as putting your life on the line for your country.

..........he would hide his face in shame for allowing his imbecile, crooked, lying son to live. Bushie Jr. would be the best possible argument for abortion. I hope he's hanged for one of his hideous crimes. And Daddy too.

The old bastard just can't take criticism anymore. And he could never handle the truth about himself and his horrible sons. He's spent his life living in a fantasy world, trying all he can to believe without doubt that he is a good man and the Bush family great, heroic patriots.
