Fox News: 'McCain's TV Commercials Contain ... Out-Right Lies'

From The Smoking Gun. The fact that these people thought it was hysterically funny to do this is all the evidence one needs to confirm that an honest discussion about the third rail topic of race is sorely needed.

A group of white Louisiana college students dressed in blackface and reenacted the "Jena 6" assault while a friend snapped photos and videotaped the staged attack, images that were later posted to a participant's Facebook page. The photos, which you'll find on the following pages, were taken late last month on the bank of the Red River, where students from the University of Louisiana at Monroe giddily acted out the racial attack.

The photos (and the short video clip at right) were posted to the Facebook page of Kristy Smith, a freshman nursing student. The album of images was entitled "The Jena 6 on the River." In the video, three students with mud smeared across their bodies stomp on a fourth student, while two of the participants are heard to say, "Jena 6." One man can also be heard saying, "Niggers put the noose on."

The images were taken down, but not before other students snared the video. In subsequent Facebook postings, Smith said:

"We were just playin n the mud and it got out of hand. I promise i'm not racist. i have just as many black friends as i do white. And i love them to death," she wrote. She added in a later message that her friends "were drinking" and things "got a lil out of hand."

The Smoking Gun also points to similar racially charged images placed on Facebook by college students in Texas, Connecticut, and South Carolina.

Is Palin a Step Backwards for Women in Power?
Sarah Palin is a milestone, for we achieve true gender equality when an incompetent woman goes as far as an incompetent man.

when will we ever learn good manners? or is it just bad taste in humor?

the fact they would spend the time to do this (smear oneself in fish sh*t and silt) and then post the evidence on 'faceboob' tells me someone has a lot of growing up to do.

stupid cracker! college isn't high school. or kindergarten, ya social retards.

I knew that Katrina would keep affecting Louisiana and Mississippi for years to come. The brain-eating amoeba in the Red River reached Monroe. It's time to shut down the UoL campus! Divine justice!

"i have just as many black friends as i do white. And i love them to death"

And this is her justification?!?!? Damn, if I were one of her "black" friends, I'd be dumping her stupid ass. And this bitch is going to be a nurse?!? A supposedly compassionate profession?

WOW, I mean, just WOW (as in flabbergasted)!!

These dumbasses, by the way, are the picture definition for Southern redneck. Ask 'em what their favorite spectator sport is and the answer will be NASCAR. Doing their part in reinforcing the backward, barefooted, stupid Southern reputation!! While it's NOT O.K. to even do what they're doing, it's even dumber to post the evidence on Facebook. What morons! And thanks for putting us back 30 years, you stupid crackers!

Since when is anomalous idiocy worthy of public attention? Instead of the tisk, tisk, why not go photograph the maggots breeding on dead flesh somewhere? No one needs to be shown this crap. How about rats in the garbage? Doesn't that make for photo-journalism attention?

If you can't tell the difference between being used and responsible reporting, is it any wonder we are in deep doo-doo?

They better hope that the real "Jena 6" won't show up at their house, or

school, and extract some "Jena-6"style justice on them! By the way, to show that stupidity has been shown by all parties in this media-driven 'drama'. Apparently one of the real "Jena-6" posted photos of himself rolling around in money given by supporters on his Facebook page. Of course, these have been grabbed, copied, and now found on YouTube. When will kids learn: don't post stupid, or incriminating stuff, on the web?!?
