Giuliani's Friends to Hold $9.11 Fundraiser

Posted by Steven Reynolds at 11:00 AM on September 25, 2007.

Steven Reynolds: Giuliani should condemn any use of 9/11 to raise money for his campaign. This is disgusting.

UPDATE: Chris Dodd calls Giuliani's $9.11 a head fundraiser "unconscionable, shameless and sickening."

On the Rudy Giuliani fundraising front. . .

A supporter of Rudy Giuliani's is throwing a party that aims to raise $9.11 per person for the Republican's presidential campaign.
Abraham Sofaer is having a fundraiser at his Palo Alto, Calif., home on Wednesday, when Giuliani backers across the country are participating in the campaign's national house party night.
[. . . ]
Giuliani's campaign had no immediate comment.
According to the invitation, "$9.11 for Rudy" is an "independent, non-denominational grass-roots campaign to raise $10,000 in small increments to show how many individual, everyday Americans support `America's Mayor.'"

No comment. One would think that the one man who would (should?) insist that 9/11 be kept sacred it would be Rudy Giuliani. But they have no comment? My comment would be to cut the guy off from any communication and to condemn immediately any use of 9/11 to raise money for a campaign. Giuliani is probably calculating what will give him an advantage. Disgusting.

...the shriveled, withered, 9-11 money-teat has finally run dry, you can always count Rudy and his ilk to wring just a few more precious drops of cash out of it.

It's pathetic, really.

The Republican line up is scary. The idea that one of them will inspire people to vote for them makes me wonder. I had the same feeling about George Bush. Couldn't believe it was possible. Boy, was I surprised. Still am. Doesn't matter that I was right. Democrats have to make it a point to go out and vote. Anything is possible. Thanks, ANNA

Our local newspaper (I use that term loosely) polled readers about their candidate preferences recently. One dim bulb said he prefers Nosferatu because, "He keeps us safe from terrorists." I fear he may be one of many.
Psss the sick bag, please.

Rudy will milk 9/11 for all it's worth. My god, where would he be without 9/11? But, then again, where would GW be, where woud Blackwater be, where would Haliburton be? But we know where the people are that were caught in those buildings. We also know where the lifeless bodys of returning soldiers are put to rest. Yes, let's milk 9/11 for all it's worth.

I think we should applaud these idiots. They are doing our work
for us! We can ask no more of them that they cut their own
throats. Even their OWN blood is on their hands.

He is not America's mayor! He is a denegrate no class jerk, who like all the other Republicans sink to their lowest when running a campaign and then if they are lucky enough to get into an office, they really show their stuff in bathrooms, with pageboys, madams, etc., so why would any thinking person vote for this one?

That isn't a reference to the song in Police Academy. How low can you go to stand on top of death and murder to advance yourself. Rudy and Fred Goldman need to go on a worldwide death tour to see how much both can profit.
