This is the title of a blog post by Larry Johnson, formerly of the CIA, on what may have occurred the other day when a live nuke happened to find it's way onto a B-52.

No conspiracy theorist is Larry. He is a friend who I have spoken to at length about international affairs, and he has forgotten more than the entire Bush Administration has ever known on the subject.

Let me quote from his piece at length:

So I called a old friend and retired B-52 pilot and asked him. What he told me offers one compelling case of circumstantial evidence. My buddy, let's call him Jack D. Ripper, reminded me that the only times you put weapons on a plane is when they are on alert or if you are tasked to move the weapons to a specific site.

Then he told me something I had not heard before.

Barksdale Air Force Base is being used as a jumping off point for Middle East operations. Gee, why would we want cruise missile nukes at Barksdale Air Force Base. Can't imagine we would need to use them in Iraq. Why would we want to preposition nuclear weapons at a base conducting Middle East operations?

His final point was to observe that someone on the inside obviously leaked the info that the planes were carrying nukes. A B-52 landing at Barksdale is a non-event. A B-52 landing with nukes. That is something else.

Now maybe there is an innocent explanation for this? I can't think of one.

Nor can I. You guys know what to do. GO SIGN THE LETTER and stop a war.

Hopefully the whole thing is simply another bully-message to Iran, and not the unthinkable other. Filth like cheney and his minions are sad, evil children, but they're not fools, and certainly not so stupid as to believe they could keep this a secret.

You would probably be surprised, and horrified, if you knew some of the places nukes were stored around this country. I'm sure Barksdale is no exception. This story broke not because nukes were transferred to the Air Base but because they weren't supposed to be. It's my understanding that the missiles were to be dismantled. The warheads were to be removed prior to the transfer. Through some SNAFU when the missiles arrived they still had the warheads. Whoever oversaw the transfer probably has their ass in a wringer right about now. We will never hear about that person though.

Let me get this straight: The evil masterminds who went to war in Iraq despite worldwide protest are loading nukes to use in Iran & you think we can stop this war with some emails or by contacting our impotent legislators? gimme a break! Besides, the environment is so depleted and the the climate is so on the verge of catastrophic chaos, what's the ultimate prize for them?? The New World Order is a trash heap. What's a little more radiation in the mix??

Anyone who thinks this isn't a serious matter is a troglyditic moron.

The issue is NOT that "nukes were airborne over the USA"

The issue is that the USAF had no knowledge that they were going from one place to another.

This was not a mistake and could never be. No way in hell. The controls on movement and handling of these things is incredibly strict. Shit, the Army locks down whole bases when a rifle goes missing - until it's found. Someone tried to slip nukes from one place to another. No mistake. Someone else leaked it. That the pilots were not aware they were loaded with 6 nuclear warheads is absolutely mind boggling.

And I am begining to be paranoid enough to think the final destination for these could have been New Orleans.

But nobody listened over a year ago. In fact, I was ganged up on like something out of Clockwork Orange. The attack has been on for a long time. Yes, things are moving around every second of every day. Things are getting in place, people being trained, everyone waiting for the right moment.

Personally, I think it is a big pickle: the threat is very severe, so what do you do? Have a draft and fight a long, bloody war killing hundreds of thousands of ally soldiers? The Japan invasion dilemma. Or do you use a weapon that exists for these moments in history (just like in WWII)?

There are two places in the world that could be threat-reduced on a grand scale: Pakistan and Iran. The world would be much better for it. The march of progress left the station many years ago, the community of nations trading and exchanging in peace and harmony. And then came along a warped adjunct of a faith that said 'hold on, let's go back a few thousand years. And we will kill you until you do!". How do you deal with that?

Bush will attack Iran before he leaves office..!

Our only hope was Impeachment...

This will turn the entire world just about against the United States and unite them against us..

Our Congress will be seen as the Worst in American History and the one that allowed America to be destroyed as a world power..

History will ask repeatedly how they could have allowed themselves to be destroyed by this insane incompetent criminal leader..?

History will ask over and over, what were they thinking what could the Americans have been thinking, how could they allow themselves to be destroyed..?

How..?

What, were they thinking..?

Why didn't they just Revolt..or Impeach this guy..?

Why..?

If starting one war because of lies isn't a cause for impeachment

Why would starting another war on false pretences be a cause for impeachment? I still say that impeachment for this entire administration is too good for them. It just lets them off with no punishment. Now imprisonment (esp. at Gitmo) could be seen as the answer. Where oh where is the World Court when you need them?

That an attack on Iran is imminent seems undeniable based on evidence NOT including this, which is highly speculative. Our distrust of Bush & Cheney leads us to suspect the worst: that these weapons are destined for Iran. Of course, there's still the possibility that our ultra-high-tech military really doesn't know where its nuclear warheads are from one minute to the next, but that is not a comforting alternative analysis.

However, suspecting or even knowing for certain doesn't change the fact that, in the face of Congressional inaction or collaboration with BushCo, ordinary citizens are powerless to bring about change through any means short of insurrection.

Letters to my Congressman (Tom Lantos) get an infuriatingly patronizing response, stating that if it looks like anything impeachable is going on, he'll be sure to look into it! Smug, condescending little do-nothing...totally useless trough feeder.

How do citizens get past a corrupt or complacent Congress to stop a raving lunatic or two in the White House?

Beyond the AP reports saying the nukes were "mistakenly" loaded, ZILCH! What are we hearing? Non-stop coverage of the story of Maceleine McCann, the child who went missing in Portugal. It's terribly sad, but not the most important info we need. AND Isn't it interesting that the "new" Bin Laden tape rumors started immediately after the B-52 nuke story surfaced? Olbermann has probably added it to his list of "conincidental" and "timely" terror alerts already--I hope he talks about it tonight!.

of Bush/Cheney was to launch the missle at some area (NO comes to mind, say the Ninth Ward*) in the US and claim that the terrist did it. Bush/Cheney would then delcare martial law and sund Blackwater to round us all up to ship off to the camps, followed by the ovens.

* The Ninth Ward because, event though the majority of the people who live there are still displaced, they still want to and anr trying to come back. Bush needs to people to vanish so that his rich reich-wing republican friends can steal the land for they gated communities.

Inside Job

In Canada, we require a min. of 10 signatures in various log books to ship any munition by air, and since we are talking about nuclear ordinance here, that would require about 8 more. So what do we now have on our hands?

Sabre-Ratting? Maybe. It doesn't hurt, but then it never amounts to much either unless it's backed up. Four years of huffing and puffing @ Kim Jong Il have only emboldened him to force the US to finally capitulate on most of their original demands. So no.

Ineptitude? I don't think so - not from 24 signatures, in a variety of log books, on two different bases spread across the country, all officially sanctioned by their immediates.

Perimeter or Operations Test? Awfully expensive way to test operational procedure. The PSYOPS mouthpieces are in damage control mode though, so that argument is untenable.

Covert Operation? Very possible. A covert operation to strike Iran (think NicaraguaEl Salvador 70's) without the official sanction or oversight of Gates' office, perhaps to shield him, in the event things go awry. [Remember: TWO bases involved here, so at least one person at the level of Lt. Commander or higher calling the shots. Conceivable? Maybe. Practicable? Definitely.

The most tenable scenario though, is that this was an inside job, setup to 'lose' some nukes for a definite hit, either domestically, or internationally; but in either case, a false-flag operation. Why ? Because Cheney needs a poster-boy and a poster-incident to galvanize the populace around his plan to nuke Iran, and a false flag operation on American soil should do the trick.

A) They were left on the tarmak for 12 hours, fully crated and completely un-guarded, i.e. for immediate pickup & delivery.
B) They were fully activated and mounted in flight, no doubt to prove to the intended recipient that the weapons are fully functional and will operate as expected.

Rogue military elements sanctioned or not, these people are playing a very dangerous game and ironically the only way back to a sane (i.e. Ron Paul) US foreign policy may rest with Vladimir Putin. The Russian Bear is fully awake as of late and he is understandably, none too pleased.

I have been researching this quite extensively. I will post a few concerning article links.
There is much more to this story, IMHO.
Since July this year, at least 3 young Airmen in their 20's have died accidentally. One in a car accident where their car ran off the road and burst into flames.
http://www.kxmc.com/t/trinity-hospital/140988.asp

This one I find most peculiar.
A B52 Stratofortress Pilot was killed in a Motorcycle crash, supposedly DUI. I don't buy it.
http://www.minot.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123061162

The Stratofortress was the plane used to ship the nukes. The Commander has been relieved of all duties since the incident. And since the media did not supply his name, I will.
Col. Bruce C. Emig

He is definitely a man of War.

Just saying, many coincidences here.

Since the Minot story broke a week ago about the missing nukes & the outed clandestine operation from Minot, we have the following (for those who are paying attention):

1. All six people listed below are from Minot Airforce base
2. All were employed as loaders or as pilots on said B52
3. All are now dead
4. All within the last 7 days in 'accidents'

Silly me, seeing more than there is to this story. I guess this is just another coincidence.

But no doubt now that there will be more coincidences in the near future because as I have stated before, you need about fourteen signatures to get an armed nuke onto a B-52, and they may have told their wives and friends, and god knows who else.
