Republican Sex Predator Who Blamed a Black Man for His Crime, Now Attacks Cubans

Today's Miami Herald brings us up to date on the sad, sad saga of another Republican sex maniac caught in the act. The Republican House Speaker, Marco Rubio, stripped Bob Allen of all power and all committee positions yesterday. Allen, you'll recall, was arrested last month on a charge that he offered to perform oral sex on an undercover police officer and pay him $20. He later claimed he did it because he was afraid of Black people. Republicans, embarrassed, especially because Allen is a notorious and loudmouthed homophobe, are trying to pressure him to resign and disappear before the election so that their party won't be tarred with yet another hypocritical sex deviant.

Instead of resigning, Allen lashed out at Rubio and seems to have attacked Cuban-Americans, a dominant force in the Florida GOP. "In Cuba, that's where you are charged by police, wrapped up and sent off as guilty without a trial. That's a Cuba thing, something Fidel Castro does." Rubio, "of course," is Cuban-American. But Allen said he meant any totalitarian regime, "Cuba is just the closest one."

Allen, who was McCain's Florida co-chair, says he is planning on running for a Florida Senate seat. After all, he is the author of Florida's Sexual Predator Elimination Act, the act under which he is likely to be charged himself. He authored it before he was busted for prowling in public toilets offering, it has been alleged, to pay men to do them.

Allen may be an idiot, a loudmouth, a racist, a homophobe, and lots of other unpleasant things, but does being closeted and messed up and offering $20 for a blowjob really make him a "sex predator"? Give me a break. Yes, I think it makes him kind of pathetic, and it sure makes him "hypocritical", but does it make him a "sex deviant"? Hardly.

I think there is a lot of heterosexist presumption and even homophobia in this post, whatever politics it claims. Is this really how Democrats want to be trying to score political points?

so let me give you money AND perform a sexual act on you.

Someone must have been of their meds, or on their meds when they came up with that total lack of logic.

I think the rhetoric in this article about sexual deviants and predators is over the top. Bob Allen's problem is his disgusting, hypocritical politics, not his desire to give men blowjobs.

Perhaps Allen should sit back, relax, and lock his lips around a big ol' cuban.

[boos from the back of the room]

One thing can be said for good ol' B-J Bob, the Republican state representative from Titusville, he's good theater. B-J Bob, who has introduced legislation to protect public morality, was arrested by an undercover cop for offering to get on his knees in front of the cop, and it wasn't to pray (slurp, slurp). Now B-J Bob is lashing out at those who caught him and who have the audacity to doubt his rationale.

Great, B-J Bob. Keep it up. Maybe a few more totally rational Republicans will get up off their knees and come to your defense. After all, your brother-in-arms Mark Foley did't go down (no pun intended) without a few protests.

Just ask Jose Padilla about being jailed without charge. You don't have to go all the way to Cuba for that.

Allen does show some deviance...

...but it isn't related to homosexuality.

his racism and tendency to lash out and blame others for his own behavior is deviant, however - at least according to the mores that i was raised with.

then again... deviance is defined in terms of the statistical norms of society, and given how many people we have seen who exhibit the cocktail of racism and hypocritical homophobia (as well as pass-the-buck-itis), maybe it is the norm in some circles to be racist, to deny one's own sexuality, and to take it out on others.

That "deviant" jumped out at me too, and I was going to say the same thing everyone else is saying. Surprised that got in the article!

But anyhow, to acknowledge the main point of your article, yes, it's pathetic that the man seems to be just a cesspool of hostility towards everybody different from himself (and even those just like himself) - but what's worse is that Florida voters wanted to elect a guy like this! We are the government, folks. I just wish we'd take it back.

I wouldn't let the dude suck my dick for 20 bucks. In fact, I'm not sure there's enough money around for me to let him go down on me. Not that he'd want to suck mine specifically, but he apparently likes doing it to some dudes. I mean, most guys like to have their dick sucked, and this poor slob has to pay people to let him do it!? Sad. And by the way, I think he is deviant. And if you don't think so, then you're saying it's just a "normal variant" (?) to hang around public toilets offering to suck on strange men's penises and give them money for the privilege of doing so. C'mon, just think of the public health implications if nothing else! Or did he also carry a bottle of "Purel" (a product of SC Johnson, a family owned company) to sanitize the "invloved areas"?

Having said that, I don't really give a damn, nor do I believe it's anyone else's business, what two consenting adults do with one another, as long as it doesn't threaten the health and safety of society in general. (okay call me old fashioned, but I think people should have at least some familiarity (a relationship?) with each other before oral genital contact. Or maybe you critics of this article think a quick blow job makes for a nice introduction, and a lead in to a more meaningful relationship.

Whatever, the bottom line criticism of this guy, and others of his ilk, is that they're flaming hypocrits who actively inflict damage on others who commit lesser "sins" (of the same classification) than they do. That's why he's a disgusting pig. Assuming he actually did this, of course. Which hasn't been "proven" as yet in a court of law. Maybe the judge will let him off, if he gets him off.
