Who Murdered Pat Tillman?

Posted by Guest Blogger at 5:33 AM on July 27, 2007.

TRex: Newly released documents confirm that it was a deliberate shooting that killed Pat Tillman, not friendly fire.

"This war is so fucking illegal." (Patrick Tillman)

From the AP:

SAN FRANCISCO -

Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman's forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player's death amounted to a crime, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

"The medical evidence did not match up with the, with the scenario as described," a doctor who examined Tillman's body after he was killed on the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2004 told investigators.

The doctors - whose names were blacked out - said that the bullet holes were so close together that it appeared the Army Ranger was cut down by an M-16 fired from a mere 10 yards or so away.

In other words, Pat Tillman was most likely murdered in the field. In cold blood. By other US soldiers.

This must be what the Bush Administration was trying so desperately to hide behind their all purpose "Executive Privilege" shield.

Also from the AP article:

Among other information contained in the documents:

_ In his last words moments before he was killed, Tillman snapped at a panicky comrade under fire to shut up and stop "sniveling."

_ Army attorneys sent each other congratulatory e-mails for keeping criminal investigators at bay as the Army conducted an internal friendly-fire investigation that resulted in administrative, or non-criminal, punishments.

_ The three-star general who kept the truth about Tillman's death from his family and the public told investigators some 70 times that he had a bad memory and couldn't recall details of his actions.

_ No evidence at all of enemy fire was found at the scene - no one was hit by enemy fire, nor was any government equipment struck.

The Pentagon and the Bush administration have been criticized in recent months for lying about the circumstances of Tillman's death. The military initially told the public and the Tillman family that he had been killed by enemy fire. Only weeks later did the Pentagon acknowledge he was gunned down by fellow Rangers.

I wonder how long it will take the John Derbyshires and Michelle Malkins of the Rabid Right to insist that Tillman was to blame for his own murder. Start the countdown. Let's synchronize our watches...

Because remember, kids, nobody supports the troops like the Republicans. Until they do something that's bad for PR like get hurt or killed or dare to actually tell the truth about the GOP's Great War on Civilians. Then it's off to the trash heap of history with them.

Tillman's mother, Mary Tillman, who has long suggested that her son was deliberately killed by his comrades, said she is still looking for answers and looks forward to the congressional hearings next week.

"Nothing is going to bring Pat back. It's about justice for Pat and justice for other soldiers. The nation has been deceived," she said.

Of all the disgraceful, sickening things our country has done in the name of "spreading liberty" in the Great War on Terrah, this one is a real prize-winner. I only hope that his family can find some kind of peace in the days ahead. In the wake of such a devastating loss followed by a breathtaking series of insults and brush-offs from the US government and the leadership of the armed forces, if I were in their shoes, I think I would simply have lost my mind by now.

I mean, this is so explosive I don't know how the MSM could avoid it. But there's nothing on *any* of the channels.

This was reported in AP? Did I read that right?

Does anyone know an address for the Tillman family, even an email address? I feel I must tell them how truly sorry I am for this egregious incident. I am sad to tears; how painfully sad for the family. REST IN PEACE, PAT, I LOVE YOU.

Bush, Cheney, et al are so out of control and have been allowed to rape our Constitution, rape the U.S. citizen and rape and pillage anywhere else they set their sites on as potentially profitable for them and the exclusive few. My fear is that there is no way back from where they have taken us. Our society has changed into a ruthless, self-serving cesspool with no moral compass left.

I do believe that person who claimed to have a "bad memory", though, because we all know that "Military" and "Intelligence" are mutually exclusive terms!!

God save us all!!

... you know who you are, the ones who post the usual "if you criticize the war and the military you are helping Osama" slogan: where are you? How long before someone comes up with the story that, huh, Pat Tillman was a spy for Al Quaeda and deserved to be killed by his brave murderers?
Supporting the troops, right. Bring these folks home. Oh, and let's give them decent health care, shall we? It's not like they haven't earned it. Of course it's a bit late for Pat Tillman, a brave kid who made the mistake of trusting his government.

I'm sorry to be a part of those who were sleeping at the wheel. Thus being party to allowing this murderous, criminal cabal to steal the White House, start this illegal war and be the fucking illegal administration that they ARE.
One thing Bush did for us: Woke up those of us sleeping at the wheel. Shook us rudely to attention.
That said: I would like to say to his mother, Mary and to Kevin Tillman, his brother and to Patrick Tillman, Sr. --- even though this is the beginning of your brave vindication it's also the beginning of something else. You will have to mourn pat all over again. I thought a family member was a suicide and that was bad enough but then later discovered (which I always felt inside) that he WAS murdered, as well. It was like he died all over again and that was really bad. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for your loss, it's terrible, I'm sorry for what this grotesque pig of a government put your family through, I'm sorry that Pat's heroism is different than it should have been. I'm sorry I allowed it to go on.
I thank you for standing staunchly and waiting for the truth to be shown. Pat would be so proud of you. And that DOES matter. It does.
Thank you. And, again, I am sorry for the loss of your beloved Pat. Your love for him shines for all of us.

With news of this coming out, along with Bushco claiming executive privilege, you really can't help but feel that something evil was orchestrated.

Something like Tillman being vocally against the war, word makes it all the way up to the top, they have him killed and turned into a 'hero' for their war propaganda.

Even the partial truth of all this makes me sick.
But notice the discrepancy in the article: "...moments before he was killed, Tillman snapped at a panicky comrade UNDER FIRE to shut up and stop “sniveling.” Then it says "No evidence at all of enemy fire was found at the scene."
So which is it? They were under fire or not?

but it appears this administration will DO ANYTHING to stay in power. The fact that it appears someone, on administration orders, could have deliberately murdered Pat Tillman just to shut him up speaks volumes as to the depths Bush/Cheney have sunk in their (and their fellow travelers) lust and hunger for power.

Nixon was an SOB, but this bunch is so far beneath contempt that I think the whole lot of them should be impeached and imprisoned for life, at the least. Hugo Chavez is right, BUSH IS SATANIC!

Before we all jump onto the " Bush sent CIA hitmen to silence Tillman" let's step back and using Occam's Razor see the most logical scenario;

The "last words" Tillman shouting at a buddy to stop snivelling...remember that the patrol had got split and ended up firing on itself, so technically they were " under fire" doesn't it seem likely that Tillman, used to taking charge and snapping orders on the gridiron simply got FRAGGED by other members of the unit who preferred to hunker down and not follow his gungho antics?
