John Boehner's Crocodile Tears

Taylor Marsh: While Rep. Boehner's emotions get the best of him, he fails to recognize that sending money to fund the Iraq War isn't protecting America in any way at all.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaah!

You really have to watch it to believe it. Obviously, after yesterday's disastrous cave in by the majority of Democrats, Republicans think they can push anything.

Speaking of the 19 religious zealots from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Lebanon who have been identified as the perpetrators of those attacks, the ranking Republican in the House was shaking with anger at Democrats who had delayed the dispatch of the latest billions to fund the president's Iraq adventure.

"After 3,000 of our fellow citizens died at the hands of these terrorists, when are we going to stand up and take them on? When are we going to defeat 'em?" demanded Boehner. "Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you, if we don't do it now, and if we don't have the courage to defeat this enemy, we will long, long regret it. So thank you for the commitment to get the job done today."

John Boehner's Crying Game

Once again the Republicans just don't get it. The hijackers were Saudis, not Iraqis. There was no reason after 9/11 to preemptively invade Iraq. It's also important to note at this point that it was under Bush and the Republicans that we had Osama bin Laden cornered at Tora Bora, but we let him not only get away, but roam free for over five years. Now if Mr. Boehner was crying about that I'd agree with him totally. But he's not. So not only did he ball like a baby, but he did so while lying through his teeth yet again about why we're in Iraq.

Oh, and by the way, Boehner is by no means the biggest wimp of the week, even if he did cry like a little girl. Majority Leader Harry Reid won that one by a mile.

I don't know if you delude yourself on purpose or if you're only caught in the trap that was set by the anti-bush hysteria created for partisan political reasons. Your emotional comments need to be tempered by detaching yourself from the standard hate-pap done for political power reasons and recognizing our government (right or wrong doesn't matter now) dedicated our military to a nation-building mission and our government thereby earned the responsibility to see it through on behalf of the Iraqis they "liberated" from dictatorship. It is not the U.S. who causes the chaos in Iraq. Quite the contrary. The anti-Bush tirades mislead you and so many others into antiwar and anti-mission positions. It is so sad you dupe yourselves and confuse your hatred of a man with the realities of the mid-East and the requirement of U.S. involvement. I, for one, wish Gen. Petraeus and the forces deployed every success in their attempts to bring stability to Iraqis.

Invading Iraq was what Bin Laden hoped for

Bin Laden had written before 9-11 that he hoped America would invade an Islamic country and help recruit more terrorists.
Invading Afghanistan with a token force, then invading Iraq has been adream come true for Iran and Al Qeida. It has also made Iran more influential and turned the moderates in Iran against the West.
The neo-con comments about Al Qeida being responsible for the violence in Iraq and that they would come to the US and attack if we backed off the Iraq occupation are not held up by the intelligence reports of the NSA,and Pentagon.
Patreus himself said that only about three thousand people call themselves Al qeida in Iraq and that they have no connection with Bin Laden.
Al Qeida is not as powewrful or organized as the Media and many neo-cons lead the average American to believe.
It is the focus on Iraq instead of Afghanistan that is truly strengthening Bin Ladens Al Qeida who attacked the USA on 9-11.

He was having one of those frustrating moments, like the stroke victims, that want to say "why aren't we going after Bin Laden" but the kool-aid has made it impossible for him to say that part when talking about 9-11, only that Iraqi part.

Either that or he is off his meds!
