Noting that Moqtada al-Sadr, the powerful Shiite leader, has called on the mostly Shia Iraqi army and police to "turn all their efforts" to the US Military, the Young Turks discuss the worse and worser potential future for the U.S. occupation.

That announcement was made just a day after John McCain observed that: "Extremist Shiite militia leader Moqtada al-Sadr is in hiding, his followers are not contesting American forces."

More McCain-ery HERE.

Bring it on

First he parades around a dangerous part of Baghdad, practically daring insurgents to kill one of the dozens of soldiers ordered to be his human shield. Next he dares Al Sadr to attack Americans.

Just like his new hero George Bush, he wants them to "bring it on", probably because he thinks it will make him more powerful and influential. McCain hates America. Its official.

As much as I want our troops to remain alive and intact, what would you do if your country had been invaded so it's oil could be stolen. Hmmmm.

al - Sadr is the "Radical"

Let me get this right, bush invades Iraq kills on a pack of lies, and kills hundreds of thousands of men, women and children and AL - SADR is the "radical", that's a sick joke. We also know if he supported the occupation, the U.S. media, the WH, and even Air America parrots wouldn't be calling him 'radical".
Resisting an illegal occupation is not radical, it's patriotic and while the west likes to throw around terms such as "radical " or "moderate" most informed people know, a radical is one who opposes U.S. foreign policy, and a "moderate" is one who may not like it, but is willing to make concessions, for today.
