How Did Such . . .

. . . a patently bogus article get through the editors at ABC news?

Seriously, the article has one source, and one source alone that says an Iranian nuke could be possible by 2009. And what does this one source base this completely unrealistic claim on? 1,000 new centrifuges Iran is installing at Natanz, which the articles notes, are not even operational.

As David Albright says, "If they continue at this pace, and they get the centrifuges to work and actually enrich uranium on a distinct basis," said David Albright of the Institute for Science and International Security, "then you're looking at them having, potentially having enough highly enriched uranium for a nuclear weapon in 2009."

But if you go back and look at the record and see how long it has taken for Iran to get where they are you realize what garbage this article is. We've been expecting Iran to install 3,000 centrifuges for some time. And now that they've installed 1/3 that number we're going to blow it up into a crisis? First it was 3,000 centrifuges that make up the red line, now it's 1,000?

Please. This is nothing more than disinformation, a well timed leak doled out to Ross and ABC. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Digg!

Russian expert says Iran can make nuclear weapons

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia's leading nuclear scientist said on Monday that it was just a question of time before Iran developed a nuclear weapon and it should be stopped.

"From a scientific point of view of course they could create nuclear weapons," Velikhov, president of Russia's Kurchatov Institute, told reporters. "When they could do it is a more difficult question."

Why do these idiots keep telling lies to make war war and more freaking war? I blocked the ABC channel and never to return to Disney World, but these idiots keep popping up in my sight.

Sooner or later, Iran will have nuclear weapons. If it's too hard, how did North Korea, Pakistan and India get it? Those countries are not that much more advanced than Iran. So what do you do? Occupy them? Iran should give those people the middle finger and do what North Korea did. Get a few hundred nukes and test them. Then they won't make any more idiot predictions. What are these idiots trying to do anyway? Is this how they solve problems? Look at Pakistan. They got nukes and now they got a lot of F16's from the US. India went nuklear and got a sweet "nuclear cooperation package" from the US. North Korea is getting its money back from frozen assets. Iraq got NO nukes and got invaded. Going nuklear is not such a bad thing after all. Am I wrong here? The hell with ABC. Go Iran!

I find it very distressing at how big a pimp ABC has become for the NeoCons in recent years. They have shown such tendencies from the tenure of Roone Arledge- the late head of ABC News & Sports.

that brought us that "documentary" about the Clinton role in 9/11. They should stick to "Desperate Housewives" as they are the desperate network.

It's not only disinfo, it is censorship

We are going to war with Iran soon and the mainstream media is starting up the band to play their tune. Mainstream media is a wing of the gov't. They practice propaganda and censorship. Censorship is becoming America's favorite past-time. The US gov't (and their corporate friends), already detain protesters, ban books like "America Deceived" America Deceived (book) from Amazon and Wikipedia, and fire 21-year tenured, BYU physics professor Steven Jones because he proved explosives, thermite in particular, took down the WTC buildings. Don't bother with mainstream media (except for laughs). That is why the internet will soon be king.

ABC: Always BS Channel. I make it a point to NEVER watch the network news. None, not CBS, not NBC, not ABC. I certainly don't even consider "FAUX News" news. I do watch local news mainly to get the local weather forecast. If they show Bush or Cheney on the local channel, I change to used car dealers - they are more believable!
