What is John Hagee thinking? Does he have a sign from God that he is to spearhead Armageddon by drafting his right wing candidate to add power to his vision? This is frightening because some ministers may believe they are hearing from God (and claim they are hearing from God) whereas other ministers who have the same Bible, don't back him up. By his trying to open Pandora's box, he may discover in it horrors that he never dreamed of. Perhaps he and other Christians believe they will be whisked off the planet before all the horrors really begin. However, maybe that won't be the case. Maybe his eschatalogical viewpoint is flawed and he doesn't realize it. It seems to me that God Himself is able to bring world events around to where Armageddon will take place without the help of John Hagee or any other doomsday prophet.

McCain is a political whore that will talk to anyone that he thinks might vote for him. He is another example of a nutcase who is too mentally incompetent to even be considered for the presidency.

Does McCain expect to be taken seriously? He humiliates himself and I wonder if he knows it. Doesn't anyone care enough about the man to keep him from making a fool of himself. I'm not crazy about him but we all deserve some dignity. It's sad to watch him self destruct in public.

Will John McCain, along with mentor Hagee, advocate State religion? Theocracy entails corporatiization (see Wikipedia: corporatism). In Hagee's case it means State sponsored heresy. Voters, please please educate yourselves about the present condition of the new fascist theocratic movement. Education is the first priority in this quite serious game of apostacy. Google up 'Christian Zionism' to better understand the 'religious right' and especially the 'rapture' movement and 'Left Behind' heresy of wolf-in-shepherd's clothing Hagee. The word "rapture" does not appear in the Bible and was originated as a doctrine not until 1830. The goal of Hagee's Christian Zionists is to raze the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque to rebuild the Temple in order to conjure down Christ to 'rapture' the saints to the exclusion of the 'left behind'.

So to keep the faith, read Matt. chapters 5-8 (and all the first 4 books of NT), the most expurgated scriptures by the hate preachers like Hagee. Support the surprisingly many mainline church and synagogue peace efforts. Encourage them to be more indignantly vocal about the abortion of Christianity by the Fundamentalist Evangelicals. Check out and support Tikkun, Rabbi Michael Lerner.

In this way Christian Zionism can be exposed it for what it is, ignorance and evil and the tool of Oil.

It is well known that Orthodox or at least the right wing Orthodox Israelis believe the first Messiah will be conjured up with the rebuilding of the Temple on the Temple Mount. It is a blaring irony, though. If a first and second coming were to happen, the Christian Zionists believe the unChristian, non-saint Jews will all burn in tribulation. The Orthodox Jews believe the non-Orthodox, not just the non-Jews, will not be saved as they are not the chosen people; none of that grafted on the vine stuff. So, in the meantime, they are content to exploit each other to betray later. In this is the Clinton, Lieberman Republican buy-in to the AIPAC and other Israel Mossad lobby agenda. The move to attack Iran is based on precisely this agenda as stated by 'Pastor' Hagee in Wilson's article above. Hagee and his brethren don't believe in the Prince of Peace. This is why Jimmy Carter's new book, Palestine, Peace, Not Apartheid, has been attacked by the same people. The strategies of the Religious Right, Orthodox fascist Israelis and the oil corporations, unlikely acolytes, are bound together in the Bush Administration in a most unholy and anti-christian alliance. Don't for a moment, defer to the threat of being called anti-semitic for being anti-Israel. There is a vibrant peace movement still alive in Israel and Jewish groups like Tikkun, Brit Tzedek v'shalom and Jewish Voice for Peace. JVP, for example, has this to say:

We all need to work together to expose and stop this Iran invasion and this begins by understanding what and who the drivers are. Then fight like the self-fulfilling prophecy were coming.

Christian zionism is a part of the republican party. Bush and nearly all parts of the rethug party endorse this mindset. Yes, pandoras box is being forced open by the 59million voters who voted for Bush 2X. I think some are very aware of it and totally committed to it, and they WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN. That is why BushCo are going to invade Iran.
But the box was also opened by the other big religion, Catholicism, my religion, when Pope John Paul II aligned himself and the Catholic Church and the Catholic voters with the republican party at/before Reagan becoming prez.
The current Pope Benedict XVI is also staunchly aligned with the rethug party and keeps most catholic voters so aligned. So both popes are very complicit, totally involved, in these events. Some of my fellow Catholics will argue that Pope Benedict XVI sent a message decrying Christian Zionism. But Pope John Paul II did nothing to stop it and in fact by aligning the Catholic Church with the repub party he nurtured it. Pope Benedict XVI is also nurturing this movement despite what his message says because he is still giving his total support to the republican party and their Holocaust of the ME. The VERY SAME THING happened before WWII when two Popes, Pius XI and Pius XII, aligned themselves and the Catholic Church with Hitler and the Nazi Party which gave us the Holocaust. So much for the papal and catholic part of this mess being promoted by such catholics as Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Mike DeWine(gone for now thank God) John Boehner, Rick Santorum, Tim Russert(Plamegate) Robert Novak(Plamegate) Jean Schmidt, Richard Pombo(anti echology), Pat Buchanan, Peggy Noonan, Phyllis Schlafly and many, many more millions of catholics. I may be a catholic but I abhor the selling of religion for political power which is exactly what the popes have done. So any message they send is either a lie or way to little and way to late because the damage is DONE. We are, thanks to those popes, at the precipice of disaster. And Bush, Cheney and the repubs/Catholic repubs will take us over the edge.
There are military personnel being trained now, for what can only be a military specialty which is used in the early stages of a new war. That tells me what I need to know.
Hagee is not the only person who wants to see this horror take place, much of the SBC is equally supportive and pushing for these events, Falwell, Robertson, Gingrich(Moral Majority), Family Channel, Fox, ABC, ABC Family Channel, Tim LaHaye and many more millions of millenialists, christian reconstructionists and dominionists.
These 'end timers' and rapturists will and are enabling and emboldening BushCo. Bush himself is a sociopath and megalomaniac with a messianic complex with whom the Popes and other aforementioned have aligned themselves. These are all PRO-DEATH people. Any religious message they may have had is long gone, it now being deeply stained with hate, intolerance and greed for and alignment with political power.
St. Malachy, Archbishop of Armagh(Ireland) predicted the end of the papacy and that now seems possible. If such a prediction does occur it will take place at the hands of the popes themselves and the Catholic Church and will not be the work of some outside force. Jesus Christ forbade the merging of church and state which these two popes have violated. Our US Constitution forbids exactly the same thing but that is of no consequence to religious zealots who have lost all Humility and commit the sin of PRIDE, which is placing oneself equal to God. All religious zealots and fundies are people who act and believe as if they KNOW the mind of God, including rapture and end times and what is right for other human beings. These people in my estimation are false christians because only God knows what is right for each human being because He gave each of us 'Free Will' to make our own individual choices. Only God knows what events will take place and when.

Gonzales has requested that the SBC become some kind of military for him and the DOJ and the Bushies and the rethugs.
Also there is now that pilot project of the US Marshall Service to turn churchs into Federal Courts. WOW, the Repubs and their supporters have gone crazy.
Who will stop them, no one can. the american people put these crazies in power. Congress is helpless.
