Coupled with the last video Joshua posted (as punishment for looting, judge&jury soldiers smash a car by running over it with a tank), it's abundantly clear why Iraqi's can't stand Americans.

Who's going to do anything if someone gets run over or has an accident?

I 'get' why everyone wants the US troops out; every dealing with us is so dangerous. I'm embarrassed and appalled.

It's an eventuality that we will leave Iraq. My question is: How do we make it up to these people?

I mean even if you had lived under a god-awful government and some foreign country said they wanted to liberate your people, after a few months of this kind of thing -- if there were Iraqis troops down by the 7-11 or Iraqi Humvees bumping your car in traffic -- wouldn't you pick up an AK and go after 'em? Then think if they had killed some people you know and given gazillions to foreign contractors who couldn't get the damn electricity to work.

Joshua, I saw the same driving in Saigon in '68. On one occasion the driver of a jeep in which I was a pasenger cut off an oncoming motorcyclist for the hell of it.... causing him to crash. It turned out the rider was a U.S.A.F. officer. Thank you for the clip ..... but the fact is that G.I.'s don't want to stand still in traffic for obvious reasons.... sitting ducks. They shouldn't be there at all.

our son is on his second tour of iraq, and chances are, these guys have a reason for driving this way, that you all are clueless about.maybe they got stuck in traffic, the day before, and lost a couple people to an ambush. maybe it was an RPG, or an IED. they are doing their best to get the patrol done with , and get back to base, without losing anyone. yes, if you were an iraqi, also driving on these roads, it would be infuriating. but they didn't injure anyone, and they didn't cause any accidents. remember the lesson of vietnam- be as mad as you want with the sob's that sent them there, but don't blame the soldiers that are sent. you can hold them responsible for criminal acts, but not for just trying to survive another goddamn patrol.

Doesn't look as bad as traffic I've seen and the cabbies I've have had a ride with in New York City, Boston, San Fran, Naples, Rotterdam.

What are you trying to say - that our tanks should give way to civilian traffic while in harm's way. It's a war zone dummy! Tanks are given right of way for lots of reasons: emergency calls, transporting wounded to hospitals, back up of other troops in harm's way and other emergencies requiring Emergency Response Actions.

The video shows nothing, says nothing, proves nothing....except that you guys are so desparate you'll grasp at any straw.

Actually, I think the driver of the tank showed great restraint and poise. He could have just rolled over the whole bunch of them. But he didn't.

I assumed they were on a mission to somewhere, like a police car on a call. If they were just driving around to get to a place of their choice, they are acting disgustingly, and should be reprimanded and fined.
What right do these humvee drivers have to intimidate and harrass the very people to whom they want to bring democracy?
What a horrible joke.
The military must get a better control over the behavior of its soldiers. They act disgustingly. They are representing the United States of America.
In this video there was no reason for them to push everyone out of their way and to drive on the wrong side of the streeet.
It demonstrated arrogant and stupid behavior by uneducated American soldiers, who think themselves above common laws, and who are oblivious to decent human behavior.

Watanabe could teach them a thing or two....and much more.

Simple question!

Answer: The rape of their women and children, the torture of their women and children, The theft of their personal property during "searches", the malicious theft and destruction of their antiquities. The deliberate poisoning of the air, land, and water with Uranium 238 (AKA "DU") with the resulting radiation sickness, genetic damage, extreme birth defects, AND CANCERS etc.

The nice thing about it is the fact that every one who has been in a dust storm in Iraq or Afganistan has definitely been contaminated! Including the SOB's who are raping, murdering, torturing, robbing, and bringing "DEMOCRACY" to the innocent people of Iraq by missiles, bullets and WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.

Wait a minute! I knew this was a criminal war before it began. I think bush should be impeached, tried for war crimes and publicly hung. I volunteer to pull the lever. That said this video might be not as it seems. I’m fairly old and in my youth a friend of mine was a medic stationed in Germany. He said the Germans never pulled over for our ambulances responding to emergencies even with lights and sirens going. These guys in the video were not wrecking the other vehicles and they were constantly on the horn. I think they were responding to an emergency call. We need more facts on this one. Even so if I were an Iraqi today I would be an insurgent or in my view a freedom fighter. We need to leave those people and many others on the planet alone. I think Bush is a serial killer by proxy and is looking to blow up our beloved earth. He joins many of the Christian right wing nuts in believing the second coming will follow Armageddon. We are in deep crap.
