The video to the right, which contains a disturbing message from a man who claims to have been a guard at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, was removed from Youtube recently for violating the terms of agreement. It's easy to see why.

According to IraqSlogger, an investigation into the validity of the obscured man's claims of torture, rape and abuse has begun. Though the Army's investigative affairs division isn't providing details they do say they're taking it "seriously," according to Christina Davidson's report, which goes on to point out that there have been a number of false claims of both soldier and insurgent atrocities.

Here's one of the most disturbing passages:

What was the most fun things?

The most fun thing, umm....definitely the women.

Yeah? They had chick insurgents, man?

No, they didn't have chick insurgents.

***

Something goes down, they just grab everyone around, you know, fuck em. I mean, you gonna have 35 trials? No, you know. People are like, "Oh they're innocent." You know what, I don't give a fuck. As far as I'm concerned, they're all guilty. You know what? They should have kicked Saddam out themselves. Instead, we're there doing the fucking job. We're losing guys.....

***

Were those people in the World Trade Center guilty? No. Fuck them. They fucked us, so now we're fucking them. Fuck them, dude, anyone with a fucking rag on their head is fair game.

***

....girl, she was probably like 15 years old. Yeah, she was hot dude. The body on that girl, yeah, really tight. You know, hadn't been touched yet. She was fucking prime. So....

***

One of the guys started pimping her out for 50 bucks a shot. I think at the end of the day, you know, he'd made like 500 bucks before she hung herself.

They have the full transcript here.

McCain knows exactly what he's doing. He hired Karl Rove's acolytes to turn McCain's campaign into exactly the insulting mess we see today.

IraqSlogger lost credibility with me over the Jamil Hussein flap. If this story is true, it's outrageous, disgusting and disgraceful, but I'm not going to take IraqSlogger's word on it just yet.

...if it's all true or not. Is this what we've become? Is this who we want to be? This should be viewed by as many people as possible, especially those who still think that America is not an imperialistic military machine screeching out of control. I am sickened. Think Holocaust

Some truth about the troops we're told to support everyday.

Bullet sponge? Pimped till she hung herself?

Are you happy now, George? You've successfully linked 9/11 and Iraq and "every fucking raghead is fair game."

I think I'm going to be sick.

Anger is the beginning of healing and that is where we need to be and they in Congress need to feel it. Start showing it and calling now. We have to get out of there now.

Why is this surprising? Power Corrupts. Remember UN scandals,

the rape of German women by US GI's but mainly by advancing Russians, the abuse/torture/murder of Jews/Gypsys/Gays/Retards/Dissenters by the Nazis, the UN childsex scandal in Africa, the UN/Nato sex rings in Kosovo, the Muslim use of gangrape/Murder in Darfur, the use of rape as weapon in Yugoslavian civil war, and on and on and on.

Wedge propaganda rollout?

There are a couple of news reports that are appear to be nothing but propaganda designed to place a wedge between anti-war movement and veteran soldiers returning from Iraq; this is because the Pentagon & Cheney etc. remember Vietnam, when the soldier's resistance movement was the most effective form of protest.

See also the NBC clip on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyqk1LsCDBQ

It's a one minute PR clip featuring two soldiers complaining about the "lack of support for the war effort at home" - shades of Vietnam era propaganda.

Then you had the New York Times running a prominent and questionable report on a "spitting at an Iraq war veteran" incident: see The Media matters discussion.

Seems like someone in the Pentagon PR office is worried about the alignment of Iraq war veterans and anti-war protestors, if you ask me.

Whether this particular story is true or not is irrelevant because I assure you that this sort of thing IS happening. I no longer feel sympathy for the troops who lose their lives. I do believe that this represents the attitude of most Americans regarding Muslims and people of color in general. They are not heroes and I do not appreciate being bullied into this rhetoric. They are racists criminals and they can all die for all I care.

This video is eerily believable and it is the most disturbing thing I have ever seen - not only because of the violence and depravity it refers to, but because the attitude of the person in the video seems representative of America's troops in the USA. To be part of a country that sanctions this type of behaviour makes me deeply sick - I'm off to buy another bottle of vodka.

OK folks, take a good look. Make your pals and neighbors take a look too. Your priest, your legislators, your piano teacher..whomever.

THIS IS WHAT WAR BRINGS. THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. WANT TO STOP IT? NO MORE WAR! PERIOD.

Been to war. Vietnam. Been to Balkans. Been to all those sorry ass, politically motivated, greed-head expeditions..Guess what? Same story different chapter. Two things in comon for all this rape-culture crap and violence, from a-z: (1) These shitheads who do this _all_ seem to feel the need to take pictures, movies, whatever. (2) They all talk about it. Brag. Tell folks until -poof- they tell someone who doesn't think this is an acceptable pastime. "No one will ever know." My ass!

Here's the punchline. Me vet. Once soldier. Woman. War is a woman's issue. Stop it. We can do better. Honest.

...is that this video does not surprise me anymore. We are after all a Christian nation which explains it all.

I know this country is founded on many atrocities, beginning with the Indians, but this is not the country I thought we were at least TRYING to become.

If this video is real, do you really think that Bush supports this sort of thing?

you think there was a mandate that said
Rape the "Ragheads" on contact
Hell No

Yes Bush brought us there and Yes horrible things are happening. But NOONE is to blame but the person doing the horrible things

unless you really beleive that the US generals have been saying Rape the women but DONT GET CAUGHT oh and put a plastic bag on that guys head til he turns blue but dont let him die.

theres a purpose that were in the middle east
anything outside of the boundarys of promoting construction and democracy is not in the mandate
