Here's an under-the-radar news item likely to light a fire under my friend Cliff Schecter and the folks at The Real McCain. John Hagee reports that he had an "extended breakfast" with John McCain, during which they discussed Israel policy and McCain's presidential candidacy. Hagee happily reports that McCain is "solidly pro-Israel."

What else did the duo discuss? In an e-mail, Hagee tells his supporters and the leadership of Christians United for Israel: "We discussed [McCain's] positions on other matters that I will share with you when I speak with you in person. This newsflash goes to the ends of the earth and I don't want to read it in the media tomorrow."

Digg!

I saw this so called preacher on television last Sunday as I was surfing the channels. I watched him for about 20 minutes and in that time I heard the Lord's name exactly 0 times. I thought churches were given special tax status as long as they stuck to what they know, God. This "ministry" should be investigated by the IRS. Not only did the preacher not mention God in his tirade, he stood there promoting violence. What has religion come to in this country and why is it only the wackos like this clown that we hear about? I'm sure there are actual real preachers doing God's work out there. Why do the vicious, hypocritical ass wipes get to be the voice and face of religion. They are an embarrassment and they do no good to those people who come to them for God's word. Stupid propagandists.
