How's this for integrity:

John McCain just hired the worst man in the world to run his campaign, Terry Nelson. Nelson was an unindicted co-conspirator in the TRMPAC scandal as a key point of contact between Tom Delay and the RNC. He was James Tobin's boss during the 2002 New Hampshire phone-jamming scandal, for which Tobin was convicted. He also worked at the head of opposition research for the NRCC this cycle, where robocalls from Republicans pretending to be Democrats were the norm all over the country. Nelson also produced the racist bimbo ad against Harold Ford.

This guy is pure Straight Talk Express meets campaign reform. It makes a lot of sense to put legislation through the Senate on public financing and campaign fraud, because that will put McCain on the defensive. He'll be stuck between the wingnut base which doesn't trust him on campaign finance reform, and his centrist chops.

And Terry Nelson will hang around his neck, as he should. This is a man who just breaks the law with impunity, and he's running the campaign of Saint McCain.

That's right, folks, St. John McCain just hired Tom DeLay's old buddy Terry Nelson. The same Nelson who helped DeLay funnel illegal corporate contributions through the Republican National Committee.

McCain's halo is looking awfully crooked these days.

McCain ought to bow out while he still has a shred (barely) of self respect. It's sad to watch someone continue to go on long after it's over. His biggest mistake was allowing Bush to walk all over him. He should have won the nomination. He's become re-cycled Bush. Too bad. Thanks, ANNA

Is McCain desperate or simply lost his integrity?Never a Republican admirer, I respected McCain for turning his life around from a playboy to his brave resistance to his Vietnamese captors and his fight against Bush in the runup to the 2000 election but it evaporated when he kissed Bush's butt on election eve and my opinion has gone downhill ever since. Republican family values have taken a dive this last year

Those of us who find the excesses of sleezy campaigning fascinating applaud the Senator's choice. '08 will be a banner year for sleeze. As the late Joe McCarthy said, "Nothing succeeds like excess.".

............fuck himself. He can't ride forever on the fact of his past imprisonment. But the voters, bless their tiny, stupid heads, will go for him because of a misplaced notion of "character." He, like all other Rethuglicans, wouldn't know character if it sat on their faces.

I would like to be around when McCain's daughter is old enough to understand her father's actions, when after the Bush minions disrespected her and her mother in 2000, old dad not wait to pucker up to kiss Bush's butt.

McCain's made it so easy. All any future opponent opponent has to do is show the picture . . . I mean, they won't even have to say anything, just show the picture. Talk about having Bush in your corner.
