In his ongoing quest to break the government, George Bush tapped Dr. Eric Keroack to oversee Title X funding--the only federal program devoted entirely to family planning and reproductive health.

Dr. Keroack told an abstinence leadership conference that sex causes brain damage. Seriously.

According to Dr. K's CracKpot Theory, "positive social interaction" causes the brain to release oxytocin, which enables you to fall in love. But be careful--sex with too many people is literally mind-blowing because you use up all your oxytocin. Then you can never really love anyone.

Finite?

Is oxytocin a finite chemical? I thought it was a chemical that was created under certain circumstances, therefore not finite, like this man's capacity for intelligence.

Too much sex.

Is that even possible? How much is too much? I mean, thanks to the baby and everything we went through a bit of a dry spell, but things are back on track now.

My friend considers three times a day a slow day. He's certainly not having any problems with brain damage (just time management, really). Given his proclivities towards multiple partners, the fact that his wife can't keep up and so finds him other women, he'd certainly be a prime candidate for brain damage from too much sex.

But, as evidenced from his superb time management skills (he still holds down a good job and has time for other hobbies), that brain damage hasn't manifested. Which leads me to think that the frequency required is only achieved by very few people.

Just my two cents.

The source (as clicked) actually described a perfectly sane theory -- its not that you use up the drug, but that you are no longer so enthralled with it's bonding effects. This is undoubtably true, but its no different than saying you relate differently to any drug after you take it for awhile. What's weird is that the initial effect is so sacred to the guy, the narrative has that squicky "precious bodily fluids" feel. I would say having sophistication and mindfulness in the context of the drugs your body produces is a _good_ thing. He is arguing that we should keep our puppy love forever. Which is even weirder than the original post.

The good doctor has a strange look in his eyes. Maybe it's just too much coffee. Isn't he talking about the stuff that Rush takes? I'm confused. It must be the 'too much sex' kicking in. What are the early symptoms. Someone please make this man go away. Thanks, ANNA

People who think like that need to get laid. Really soon. If the picture of the guy is accurate, I'm sure sex is an abstraction to him anyway.
