The comments on the article to which you refer us & the article, itself, sum up Rum-Dum's accomplishments & what we must expect from Mr Gates. Surprisingly, most of the trolls have it right too. SS/DD.
The ONION has posted an article, with much malice & contempt for all, that condenses what this site says about Rum-Dum & his proposed successor, the gate keeper.
We won't be safe till Sure Shot Cheney is forced to resign & he's replaced by an impotent, harmless creature, who will replace W when he's forced to resign.
Forced resignitions are faster than impeachments & any impeachments or talk of impeachments probably would be blocked by Nancy Pelosi, et al. The rapid resignations would allow grand juries to quickly indict W & co for treason, etc, based upon common knowledge of W & co's crimes; speedy fair trials & suitable sentences would follow upon the possible conviction(s) of the accused. Treason may be punished by death in the USA.

I can't believe Nancy Pelosi keeps saying impeachment is off the table. The usual excuse being the nations needs to heal and be brought together. First of all, inorder to heal, you need to remove the cause for the disease. Secondly, anyone who thinks the Republicans are suddenly going to play nice is seriously deluded. Why take it off the table? If you don't have the guts to actually do it, at least hold it over their heads when ever they try to block legislation! There is power there, if Nancy doesn't know how to use it, choose someone else as speaker.
