Via Talkingpoints Memo:

Those early exit polls also showed that three in four voters said corruption was very important to their vote, and they tended to vote Democratic. In a sign of a dispirited GOP base, most white evangelicals said corruption was very important to their vote — and almost a third of them turned to the Democrats.

White evangelicals went for Bush at almost a 90 percent clip in 2004.

But I doubt they'll stick around for too long unless the Democrats (particularly the left) stop bashing them so much.

I read of EV positions that are usually based on some portion of the Bible. Each time I would ask Why only portions of Leviticus are important and others not. Answers seems to be that we have to look at historical data of the time to evaluate applicability to modern life or some such.

Are some portions of the Bible MORE important than others? Who gets to decide which passages God REALLY wants us to pay attention to?

If the Bible is the word of God then the section about snakes is the word of God. How did Kentucky decide that snake-handling is a misdemeanor? Kentucky thinks the snakesters are wrong? Kentucky knows better than God?

The EVs have NO leg to stand on for most of their core beliefs. No American should be discriminated against for adult sexual decisions. EVs and all can HAVE their marriage and if they don't want to allow same-sex marriage, so be it. Stay the hell out of civil unions, EVs and others, government must be non-denominational.

Defense of marriage. Politicians who drive the defense of marriage are likely divorced, married couples are in the minority, many of those could likely be second marriages. and we now can say that a shrill minority is trying to drive public policy. Warn the world about the evils of the homosexual adjenda while having gay sex in the shadows. Sick people.

During the civil war the churches married slave men and women, giving those couples NO right to live together, many couples sold off separately after the "marriage." I can think of nothing else that has poisoned the institution of marriage to that degree. Marriage of slaves meant NOTHING to shave-holders beyond a sick desire to "pacify" at any cost, presumably even the souls of the conspirators.

EVs should hide their heads in shame. Stem-cell research, HPV innoculations, Medical Cannabis, Morning-after pill, if you have the wrong disease, need the wrong medicine, want to protect your child you should just go ahead and die, I guess is their position. WWJD?
