What's there to say?

Lieberman loses Democratic primary... finds himself in need of even more republican votes... faces unexpectedly tenacious challenge from the other republican Alan Schlesinger... flip flops on John Bolton. Bolton of the mustache. Bolton who "endangered our national security."

Jon Stewart on Bolton: "Bush tried to turn the spotlight on Bolton's positive characteristics. For example, did you know he was born of human parents?"

From the Ned Lamont statement:

A year ago, [Lieberman] opposed John Bolton's nomination to the United Nations because he was unqualified. At that time, he had the power of a bipartisan majority behind him in opposing Bolton. Today, when the political winds shift in the other direction, Senator Lieberman is supporting John Bolton, who has no more experience or qualifications for the job than he did a year ago.

One of Cyndi Lauper's greatest songs -

Leiberman's "true colors are shining through," but they're sure not the colors of the rainbow! They're the true colors of the GOP. HYPOCRISY!

When he was appointed he was a pig and now he is rotting and putrid but he is still there. That is the tempo of our Fascist government now. The pigs stay and continue to demolish the world and the Constitution. The only things we can do are negative now and take note; 1. Don't Vote in any elections, both parties are corrupt. 2. Buy CITGO Gas, Hugo Chavez is hated by Bush and Bush wants to kill him, the gas is from Venezuela not Arabic terror lands! 3. Decorate your car with anti administration stickers. 4. Wear an anti government Tee shirt. Demonstrations are OK only if everyone is going to be civil disobedient and stop some Imperial arm of the government. Don't just sit and bitch, do something negative!

Joltin' Joe is miscalculating again

The Senator is sniffing around the State for any Republican support he can siphon off the swamp. I think CT Repubs are probably at a level of disgust with our present crowd in Washington that they're not going to take the trouble to turn out in big numbers, especially to support a turncoat politician.
Senator Joe, with his mindless prodding for expanded war in the Middle-East, appears to be humping to join the psycho country-club comprised of Cheney/Bush/Rummy. This is no mere insult. The bunch of them really appear to be going insane.

Heaven help us if this super-officious group of politicians becomes able to act on policy initiatives. The UN should remain as ignorant and ineffective as always lest a working international governing body be born and ruin the whole world and not just small pieces of it at various times

If we all agree that the Noonited Nations have become irrelevant

How many ambassadors to the UN can you name? And other than Adlai having to deal with Nikita and Fidel smoking ceegars and the Cuban Missile Crisis, what other notable things have taken place there in the last 50 years?

Based upon that, if we all agree that the Noonited Nations have absolutely become a loon market incapable of settling much of anything but good at sucking down taxes (and suggesting interesting things like mandatory public schools and world taxes that seem only to apply to the English-speaking world) have become irrelevant as an organization because they have done such a fine job in places like Darfur, for instance, where better to have Bolton than there. At least, if you don't like him, you know where he is. Why not send Cheney, Rummie, Rove, and the rest to be diplomats. No one else is paid attention to but they are visible.

The least boltoon can do is get a better looking rug to match his moustache.
