So here's the tally in Republicanland. Two adult men or women who love each other and want to devote their lives to each other: sick.

A 54-year-old man sending messages with sexual overtones to a 16-year-old staffer, on the other hand... 'simply naughty emails.'

Bush spokesman, Tony Snow, via John Aravosis on the messages from (former) Chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus, Mark Foley: "I hate to tell but it's not always pretty up there on Capitol Hill and there have been other scandals as you know that have been more than simply naughty emails."

Yes, we know. Tom DeLay, Duke Cunningham, Bob Ney, etc, ad nauseam, e pluribus unum. This smacks of Limbaugh's Boys will be boys comments in regard to Abu Ghraib.

Tell you what I can't wait to see: all the noise coming from the right wing Christian powerhouses like Dobson, Ted Haggard, Pat Robertson, and the rest of the fraternity. Echo echo echo....

Aravosis doesn't buy the White House's "naughty emails" excuse either: "That's why the GOP House leadership is scrambling. That's why they had to call in the FBI. That's why the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating."

Best Foley headline comes from Rolling Stone: "Rep. Foley Turns a Page"

Rightwing blogger Hugh Hewitt, noting that Florida law requires Foley's name to remain on the ballot, suggests another Bush as Foley's replacement to be the recipient of those votes. Or perhaps Dan Marino or Shaq.

I think that about speaks to the Republican bullpen: Predator revealed? Get a dynasty or jock. In other news, the world is still laughing at us. (Americablog)

Digg!

and you often get a child preditor, a pervert, and of course a hypocrit. And the STUPID American public have fallen for it for 6 years. This country makes me sick. I wish the South had won the Civil War and seceded-no big loss, we'd be better off without the idiots who live in the South.

... absolutely no outrage from George Worthless or the Republicans. Now, had this been an of-age young man their excuses might fly.... but not for a 16 year old.

Where are the values?

But, of course, they will play it as Democrats just deciding to act upset rather than having good cause to be outraged... which they very bloody well do have... and Democrats will show no outrage at such statements, though once again... they would have good cause to be outraged if their original outrage is real.

Take a long hard look at who is behind all the blatant lies and gross deceptions of the American public. It's not Southerners, it's a gang of Yankee thugs led by the worst of the lot, G.W. Bush. I wish the South had won the war too, then we would not have to tolerate these modern-day carpetbaggers. They are useless as human beings!

Well, maybe on this issue in particular.

Mostly, they're scared to death.

We should be, too.

Did Bush or Cheney know about this?

Question for the investigative reporters out there:

What did Bush or Cheney know about this and when?

It seems to me that if we can impeach the former President for consentual sex with someone of legal age, then to be fair we should also go after the pervert and all of his good ol' boy buddies who knew about this but gave tacit approval - even if it goes all the way to the top.

This incident also gives a disgusting new meaning to the Republican phrase "No Child Left Behind".

Yuck!!!! Lets vote all these two faced perverts out of office next month, if we don't lock them behind bars first!

Casey

If the Dems don't capitalize on this...

Then they are just as culpable as the rest of the Bush Crime Family. I'm sure Bush knew what was going on. He's probabley pissed off too. Not about the crime, but about the leaking of the crime. If the Democrats can't use this as an example to take back the house, we're screwed. If they take the House and don't impeach the SOB, they're culpable also.

Get rid of them

Well, now at last you know what to do. Get rid of the "holyier-than-thou" in November. Do not vote for any republican. It is that simple, Democrats will get Congress and we can start impeachment proceedures for the lot at the White House, if only the Dems. have the guts to do it. That is the question!

"naughty emails"???

I think if I was the father of one of these boys, I would drive out to where Snow lives and kick his ass a couple times for him. I'm surprised nobody has called him on how sick it is of him to try and propagandize the fate of these teenage boys at the hands of a congressional predator, yet.
