As Bob Novak returns to the stage to spread the gospel of misinformation, the Plames (Joe Wilson's favorite joke is to introduce himself as "Valerie Plame's husband") return seeking justice.

Valerie, the CIA agent outed with the help of Novak, Rove, Libby, and who knows who else, filed a civil lawsuit against Cheney, Rove, Libby, and John Does 1 through 10 [read it HERE].

According to the Business Wire press release:

The suit accuses the defendants of violating the Wilsons' constitutional and other legal rights as a result of "a conspiracy among current and former high-level officials in the White House" to "discredit, punish and seek revenge against" Mr. Wilson for publicly disputing statements made by President Bush in his 2003 State of the Union address justifying the war in Iraq.

The Carpetbagger notes that in civil cases a great deal of embarrassing information about powerful people can be revealed -- as was the case with the Paula Jones suit against Clinton. He writes:

"the Wilsons' lawyers will likely get Cheney, Rove, Libby, and others — including, possibly, George W. Bush — to answer questions, well beyond the scope of Fitzgerald's narrow investigation. The possibilities are limitless…."

Christy Hardin Smith writes: "Talk about yer game on…wonder if there will be news coverage?" It's on the front page of the Washington Post right now so I'd revise the question to read: Will the coverage be "balanced" -- in the sense that everyone gets to spin their spin and the readers get to wallow in the morass of uncertainty -- or truthful? I'ts really sad that telling the truth cost Mr. & Mrs. Wilson so dearly. The generals that told the truth also paid the price. This really is getting to become acceptable. So much for restoring honor to this government. Mr.& Mrs. Wilson good luck with your case, The truth is on your side, & it will be wonderful if those who will use postion & power to slime , receive what they deserve. p.s Joe your wife is HOT!!!
No disrespect intended.

...it looks like the only criminal activity was Scooters' either:

lieing under oath
or
being a dumb dipstick and/or sacrificial lamb.

Maybe Mr. Wilson and Ms*. Plame (shhhh) can get some cash from Uncle Sam. More power to them--they certainly shouldn't have to depend on social security for retirement.

Was there any question as to whether Ms*. (shh) Plame helped/unduly influenced her (shhh) husband in getting the Niger job? I dunno. Guess that's what the courts were for. In my opinion, the whole thing stinks.

*so as not to appear to wed them without doing so covertly (shh)

Valerie has done exactly the right thing under the circumstances. If you can't get powerful attackers to correct their wrongs against you, sue thier asses off. It is one way of telling the world just how gross and criminal your attackers are. I'm sure she and her lawyers will dig up some really nasty tidbits about the Bushies. Stay tuned.

We, the American People, need to take legal action against these f*ckers. The American People vs. Bush Administration (from all terms) for crimes against humanity. Lots of longlasting, fatal, inhumane (clearly) crimes against humanity. How and why can we continue to let these people do what they do and sit silently? Or maybe not silently, but let them get away with it? Enron, Reagan, Bush Sr., Nixon, just about all other presidents except for maybe 3? Anyone?

Let's all hope and pray the Wilson's take those bastards for every last penny they've stolen from the American taxpayers for their little moneyminting war.

EVERY SINGLE LAST PENNY.

Godspeed and may God bless!

Truthful coverage?

It's laughable to think the Washington Post would print the truth about the Plame case. Their managing editor, Bob Woodward, has already publicly stated that the Plame case is a "tempest in a teapot, that there's no crime here."
Bob Woodward is a F#%#%ing whore who traded truth for access a long time ago. If Watergate happened now, with the present Bob Woodward in charge at the Post, the story would never see the light of day.
The Post probably has a ton of horror stories about this administration, but to Bob Woodward, such stories are just a "tempest in a teapot." He would never risk losing his access to the movers and shakers and criminals inside the beltway by telling the truth in his miserable piece of s##t of a newspaper.

For awhile now,all I have been reading about is how corrupt this administration is,how it disregards the constitution and the bill of rights, outright lies to the american people, steals elections, puts corperations first, allows outrageous gas prices, has done nothing to help the gulf region recover from Katrina, uses the NY Times when it suits them, then wants to file charges against them when it doesn't,keeps us fearful about WMD's,then outs a CIA officer who specilizes in WMD,finally all this Homeland whatever stuff, there is no "Homeland",just the good 'ol USA,or whats left of it.Wake up AMERICA!!!
