Hint: It's not the electricity.

What's the definition of stupid? How about having a hell of a time recovering a shred of the hearts and minds of Iraqis who are dying at alarming rates, don't have electricity, don't have reliable schools, clean water, the basics but....

The question puzzles and enrages a city: how is it that the Americans cannot keep the electricity running in Baghdad for more than a couple of hours a day, yet still manage to build themselves the biggest embassy on Earth?

Irritation grows as residents deprived of air-conditioning and running water three years after the US-led invasion watch the massive US Embassy they call "George W’s palace" rising from the banks of the Tigris.

Brilliant. I am now ready to conclude that the Bush administration's decisions are made by marauding baboons and a few tea leaves. Nobody can be this stupid. (Apologies to baboons and baboon-lovers.) (Buzzflash)

"Stupid" is too kind

"Stupid" suggests that they don't know any better.

I'm trying to find another single adjective to offer in place of "stupid," but the list just keeps getting longer and longer. Arrogant, evil, inhumane, sociopathic, cruel, evil, malicious, ruthless, oppressive, unsympathetic. Did I say evil?

Well. You get the point.

You keep killing Iraq's people and depriving them of the basics until they are not strong enough to fight any more and give US the total run of the oil fields.

That's no embassy. It's a fortress, by definition. Look 'em up.
