If Google's a corporation non grata these days at least thank God for its cache function. That's the one that allows you to see a snapshot of a page even after it's been removed from the site.

That's what happened with a little mention of beer at a pre-shooting party attended by the veep on MSNBC's website. According to David Allen:

When first posted, NBC news [sic] quoted Katharine Armstrong as saying:
"There may be a beer or two in there," she said, "but remember not everyone in the party was shooting."
About an hour later, the quote was deleted from the story.
The whole quote, in fact, is pretty tame. Armstrong said she didn't believe there was alcohol involved in the actual incident (i.e. that Cheney didn't guzzle beers that day) but other speculate that this does fit in rather well with the mysterious gap between the shooting and Cheney's chat with the sheriff which didn't take place for some time. Drying out perhaps?

But this is all speculation. Speculation, possibly over absolutely nothing, that is the result of sloppy online journalism. Wanna change a substantial part of the story? Leave a Goddamn editor's note for cryin out loud. Otherwise, you know, it looks like you caved into a powerful administration's penchant for controlling the media. And we know that's not the case, right? (ThoughtCrimes, HT: ASZ)

and with a MSM not willing to do their jobs of reporting the facts then this administration will continue to get away with their lies and total corruption.

As long as the media caves in to the whims of King George they will be as corrupt as he is.

Remember Caesar's Wife and suspicion? The only way to avoid claims of a cover-up would have been immediate disclosure. Follow the time line. Shooting, time to hospital, all phone calls logged to doctors, police and the various offices. That will identify where and possibly for who the cover up was about. Is this a real cover-up? You bet!
IMHO either Cheney was drinking or there were other guests that they would rather not have us know about.

You may not be aware that the Armstrongs are among those making out like bandits (in fact, they are bandits!) in Iraq while that nation starves and our soldiers are being maimed and killed. And why is Cheney on yet another paid vacation ? I thought he was an elected official. Does the creature ever do anything besides lie, cheat and steal and take vacations ?

What part of the world psyche does a man come from not to break down in tears, self-loathing and shame after he's shot his friend? in the face.

I don't understand why the gun control groups haven't been having a field day with this incident. Our own vice-president cannot go hunting safely? Can't the gun control campaigns get some mileage out of this?

Hmm, this lawyer, who might be in a positiion of knowledge of "ilegalities" by Big Dick gets himself shot. How "unfortunate"?
