"Here we go again. First it was the Dixie Chicks, then Eminem, then Bruce Springsteen, and then...the list goes on and on. Now it's Mick Jagger's turn to get slapped around," writes Melanie.

Administration attack dog, Fox News, is focusing on one of the most dire threats facing America today: Aging rockers. That's right, the Rolling Stones' upcoming album is to feature a track called "Sweet Neo-Con" with these lyrics:

You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite.

You call yourself a patriot.

Well, I think your are full of shit!

How come you're so wrong, my sweet neo-con.

Despite the fact that the Stones' publicist denied that the song is about the president (oh come on...), Fox host Neil Cavuto asked his guest (emphasis mine): "Should we boycott him?" (Newshounds)

This goes to show you how paranoid the right wing supporters of this shallow administration gets. First of all, they take any attempt to ridule this government as an attack on America. Secondly, these "superpatriots" have no understanding of politics, being this is their first chance of playing in the "big league" as far as politics is concerned. And lastly, they should grow up and realise that politics is nothing but a game. Everybody plays it and those who are involved in the game don't even take it seriously. As a politician friend of mine once told me, "everything revoves arournd politics."

I'm not worried. The left is made of better people, with greater talents and abilities. We will always, always have the quality entertainers on our side.

Being attacked by Junior's minions is the modern-day equivalent of having your book banned by the vatican. It only lends weight to your argument.

Extreme Right shows true colors

The extreme Right shows it true colors: after witch hunting the Dixie Chicks, now the Rolling Stones.

That said, it would have been still better if the Stones would have spoken out before March 2003 than now, over 100,000 dead Iraqi civilians later.

However, beter late than never (and you write songs at the moment you have inspiration for them).
