Cindy Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq last year, went to the Bush ranch to give him a piece of her mind. Unfortunately, he was too clearing brush or doing John Wayne poses in the mirror to see her.

Bob Geiger sets the scene for her appearance on CNN last night: "on Bush's repeated assertions that our war dead have died for a noble cause and that we honor those who have died by, as Bush says, '...continuing the mission.':

"Every day that another soldier or another Iraqi person gets killed just rips my heart open... I do not want him to use my son's name to continue the killing. It's bad enough that my son is dead -- and I'm a mother whose heart was ripped out on April 4, 2004 -- why would I want one more mother, either Iraqi or American, to go through what I'm going through?"

"I don't want him to justify my son's honorable sacrifice to continue his murderous killing policies."

See how she responds to Bush aides who tell her that "the president really cares" or to get Jeffrey Feldman's take on how Sheehan didn't just make a devastating emotional appeal but she actually did a number on the Bush frame by taking back the word "honor"... (Yellow Dog Blog & Frameshop)

Not all people know Cindy Sheehan's fight pre-dates recent publicity.

More on this, and the possibility to sign a petition supporting Cindy Sheehan, here.

Let's insist on hearing the life stories of people before we elect them as our leaders. We need people who have actually lived in diverse American communities, people who have actually had jobs, people -- if they tout war -- who have actually experienced war.

This war like all war is about rich industrialized nations shreadding the weak for profit and plunder.WW2, Vietnam
Central America all had secret economic benifits to the
'advanced' peoples of all the nations involved in the various
conflicts. All revolving around wepons, money and drugs. No
one should be proud of having to sacrifice their kin to the industrial/gov't killing machine. All the Freedoms and Liberties
I swore a oath to protect,by killing, have'nt really shown up.
The Liberty the framers of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, most of whom were lawyers, ment it exactly as defined
in the Bible of the System 'Black's Law Dictionary'. Space prevents me from writing it out in this format, but there are
5 definitions of Liberty,we are ALL entitled to ALL of them,by birth every Man,Woman,Child and Elder. Please look them
up,ppgs.474-475, Black's Law Dictionary. Even if you just step into a bookstore to check it out,it will open your eyes,
change your life, and outlook. Just how valuable is any medal, ribbon,or Gold Star when what we're promised isn't what we have. The draft reinstatement act,the global war on
terror are all illegal acts, and war without decree of congress.
As such our children, and grandchildren DO NOT have to register for the draft, enlist,or serve an institution that thwarts
the very Freedoms and Liberties it proclaims it's 'extending to
the World'. It's time for ALL Mothers and Fathers of those killed by gov't actions to mail the White house, tell them how it feels to get 'The Notice'. Give them back the Gold Star and all the tissues you cried on. That's as close as they will ever to
sensing the loss.
