Why Dems Need Tom Tancredo to Receive the GOP Nod in Colorado

Posted by Mario Solis-Marich, Nuestra Voice at 10:54 AM on November 11, 2009.

Democrats need a man that can inspire Latinos and other independents to come to the polls and vote for Democrats – Tancredo is that man!

I believe that Tom Tancredo should be the Republican nominee for the Governor of Colorado. I hold this belief sincerely.

Tancredo is the most anti-immigrant GOP top gun in the country. While the GOP House majority speech-a-fies against immigrants, Tancredo plans! While Dobbs bloviates, Tancredo acts! While Beck draws on blackboards, Tancredo finger paints hate on the very souls of immigrant bashers everywhere! Tancredo is the haters hater! That is why we as Democrats need him to receive the GOP nod in Colorado.

Democrats need a man that can inspire Latinos and other independents to come to the polls and vote for Democrats – Tancredo is that man! Dems have a habit of short changing efforts for Latino outreach and Tancredo can inspire Latino voters on his own dime. The cost free voter inspiration that the former congressman offers makes Tancredo the fiscally responsible choice!

Now the tough part: I must say that I was shocked, hurt, and disappointed when I was kicked out of the “Draft Tom Tancredo for Governor” Facebook page! You can find the group here: Draft Tom Tancredo for Governor. Especially since my team and I had just spearheaded a membership drive for the page that caused hundreds of my shows listeners to join the draft Tancredo effort. I have heard sadly that in an act that can only be described as a mass “cyber-deportation” many of my listeners have been booted from the page as well. I now know why Beck cries- it’s the hurt.

Now a note to the “Big Tank” himself: Congressman Tancredo I hope that my ouster from your Facebook page and the ouster of many of my shows listeners was just a mistake by your staff. In fact it could be the type of mistake that can be corrected by denying any knowledge and firing a lower level intern (wink).

Mr. Tancredo you need a big tent to win this nomination and we at the Mario Solis-Marich Show stand ready to help put up that tent (hopefully you still have the instructions on how the poles work) and fill it. I promise I, with the help of my team and our listeners, can fill your big tent with people that are extremely enthusiastic about making sure that you are the GOP standard bearer going into the 2010 election. Please advise.

Your fully documented servant – Mario

Will Joe Lieberman Be the Only Dem to Sabotage Health Reform?
Joe Lieberman will work with Republicans to kill health care reform, no matter the consequences for the millions who are counting on this bill to pass.

The current bill involves some quietly coercive (and racist) provisions that no one wants to mention.

Be careful what you wish for

Here in Colorado we remember that our fellow citizens elected and re-elected Bill Owens, who pushed through the disastrous TABOR amendment, slashed funding for education, campaigned hard for him and then gloated when Bush was reelected, and spend 8 years paying back "Focus on the Family" and other radical rightwing groups that still have big, big audiences here.

Current governor Bill Ritter is not super popular and could most definitely lose. Be careful what you wish for.

I believe that the strategy you're proposing is for the GOP to "Scozzaffava" the Colorado Gubanatorial race?

.. I felt at having Tool Tancredo as my congressman for the last few years.. only to be followed by that other giant knob, Mike Coffman.

Jefferson County, Colorado is slowly...v.e.r.y s.l.o.w.l.y... getting more progressive, but at a maddeningly slow pace.

Tool Tancredo would be a great GOP pick for progressives IF it mobilizes the progressives and the Latino community to go full bore against him. Otherwise, he might win and woe be to us all.

Just ask me. I know what he did to Jeffco. Every letter I wrote.. and there were many.. was replied as basically.. 'too bad for you, I'll vote the way Rush/ O'Reilly/ Dobson tells me to'. Brilliant.

I would hate to see him screw my beloved Colorado like he did his congressional district by making us the laughing-stock of the country with his asinine rhetoric, zenophobic and uber-fundie hatefulness.

Why does Mario think this is funny? He's daily urging listeners to draft Tancredo to run in 2010. Mario is 'so' smart and we should trust him on this, all for the sake of his ego & this joke.

News to Mario:
- You don't live or vote in Colorado!
- A Personhood Amendment will be back on the 2010 ballot. Who do you think those loons will support? Tancredo of course!
- Dems & Progressives history show lower voter turnout at midterms which helps Tancredo.
- Mario thought Hillary would win... he was wrong!
- Mario told us Chuck Hagel was a sure thing to be Obama's VP...he was wrong!

Why does Mario want to make Colorado a joke in 2010. NY-23 was a circus but just imagine what will happen in Colorado if the loons & wingnuts jump on the Tancredo wagon.

Remember folks, Mario won't suffer if Tancredo wins. Mario is laughing now but let's hope were not all crying come Nov 2010.
