Bachmann's teabaggers

Keep in mind that this wasn't some Glenn Beck-organized 9/12 stunt. This was an event staged by the House Republican leadership -- actual elected officials, members of the U.S. government.

Other Republican members of Congress were on stage, too: Minority Leader John Boehner (OH), Minority Whip Eric Cantor (VA), Roy Blunt (MO), Jeb Hensarling (TX), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA), Michele Bachmann (MN) -- who was a key organizer of the event -- Virginia Foxx (NC), Ginny Brown-Waite (FL), Jean Schmidt (OH), Sue Myrick (NC), and many more.

If Republicans wonder why most Americans view them as part of the fringe extreme, they need not look beyond this event. While Democrats were touting the endorsement of AARP, Michele Bachmann and the House leadership were rallying amidst signs like this, shoulder to shoulder with 2,000 teabaggers.

Update: The AMA also endorsed the House bill today.

Those are human beings on that poster. Those are human beings on that nasty, meaningless, venal, partisan, god-forgotten, heartless, insane political poster, being carried out in public to make a petty point for a bunch of sleazy old farts and blown-dry, helmet-headed men and women who are supposed to be the hand-chosen best of us.

If they are the best of us, God help us.
If this is how they think, God help us.
If this is the content of their hearts, God help us.

They should never know cruelty the likes of which they've displayed today,

Women as leaders

Did we not use to say that once women were in government there would be peace and caring for the poor? By my count, among those ten congressional leaders on the stage encouraging those terrorists, were six women.

Also, if that image of Dachau were representative of anything connected with the health care reform bill, it should be representative of the 45,000 who are dying yearly because they do not have health insurance.

..and of course will deny them when they happen.

Your update: " The AMA also endorsed the House bill today"

Come on! What the Hell do doctors know about health care? Insurance executives and their shills are much closer to it...
