Glenn Beck's 912 Project Threatens Washington With Giant Snake Monster

Something really terrible happens when you tread on that snake that conservatives don't want you to tread on.

It transforms from this coiled up rattler, crotchety at the prospect of a viable health care system, or maybe higher taxes on the super rich:

To this giant snake monster choking the Capitol:

At least that seems to be the idea behind the scenario deftly illustrated on Glenn Beck's 9/12 Project, a web site devoted --  much like Beck himself -- to fanning anti-Obama/government hysteria, spreading misinformation about progressive policies and riling up teabaggers.

The snake imagery makes sense of course, since the "Join or Die" snake and the Gadsden flag snake often grace most flat surfaces wielded by conservative protestors. But why this Voldemort snake? Doesn't that go against conservative grievance-based messaging? Isn't it actually the federal government that's "squeezing" all the freedom from real Americans, and giving it to illegal immigrants?
