The perils of building a career out of right-wing hatemongering ...

8 more companies have pulled their ads from Glenn Beck's Fox show, spurred by a Color of Change campaign urging advertisters to drop Beck after the shock jock and talk show host called President Obama "a racist" with a "deepseated hatred for white people."

A Color of Change press release states:

Eight more Glenn Beck advertisers, including Wal-Mart – the world’s largest retailer – have confirmed to ColorOfChange.org that they pulled their ads from the controversial Fox News Channel broadcaster’s eponymous show. Allergan (maker of Restasis), Ally Bank (a unit of GMAC Financial Services), Best Buy, Broadview Security, CVS, Re-Bath, Travelocity and Wal-Mart join the dozen other companies who previously distanced themselves from Beck.

Twenty companies have pulled their ads from Beck’s show in just the last two weeks. The moves come after the Fox News host called President Obama a “racist” who “has a deep-seated hatred for white people” during an appearance on Fox & Friends. Previous companies who pulled their ads include ConAgra, GEICO, Lawyers.com, Men’s Wearhouse, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, RadioShack, Roche, SC Johnson, Sanofi-Aventis, Sargento, and State Farm Insurance.

Nice to see the marketplace working.

No doubt Beck will spin this to his viewpoint of corporate conspiracy to squelch his sheeple's message.

Glenn Beck is a Judas goat, IMO.

Some here will see themselves in Glenn Beck's tactics to stir the sheeple to stampede.

People (and corporations with public conscience) are awakening. I hope Alternet can expand its mission to encompass justice and equality for all. To that end, Alternet editors should take heed of REPUBLIC magazine's latest issue entitled: "911: Uncovering the Truth.

It was 911 truth postings that got me banned from the Glenn Beck website. A very intelligent and respectful debater who posted here at AlterNet was banned recently: pfgetty. Please restore pfgetty's posting privileges.

See this isn't about what's right or best for the American people; it's about Money and RACISM...right-wing funded fake news that sanctions prejudice, bigotry, race bating, fear mongering, OUT RIGHT KNOWING LYING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. Fox won't pull his show because there are too may closet KKK muthafukkaz tuning in and sending in their money.

Beck or Rupert Murdoch? CNN has the idiot from Amarillo. MSNBC has morning Joe. The big three have individual moments where their people show their bias.

Remember if a manufacturer has to advertise it is clear that his product is not good enough to sell by word of mouth. General Motors could not advertise themselves into quality. Quality is king. Boycott advertising.

just pulled out. Now, if he's STILL on the air, I'd be looking for the rich individual families still financing him...then, take it to the station itself. There can't be that many haters to keep the station in any kind of business...or, look for the little creep to change stations...
