With less than a week before the Senate Judiciary Committee votes on Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, she picked up a new supporter yesterday; Lindsey Graham (R-SC), not unexpectedly announced that he would vote to confirm, saying:

I would not have chosen her if I had made this choice as president, but I understand why President Obama did. Elections matter.

Graham is the fifth Republican to come out in favor of Sotomayor, along with Richard Lugar (R-IN), Mel Martinez (R-FL), Olympia Snowe (R-ME), and Susan Collins (R-ME).

Jon Kyl (R-AZ), on the other hand, announced that he would oppose Sotomayor, saying that her testimony was "evasive, lacking in substance and, in several instances, incredibly misleading."

And from the endorsements she could do without file, disgraced former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales thinks Sotomayor should be confirmed.
