Republicans "Push Back" Against Obama's ABC Town Meeting, Fail Miserably

Posted by BarbinMD , Daily Kos at 9:45 AM on June 26, 2009.

While millions of Americans were listening intently, GOPers were using airtime to do what they do best: whine.

Well, the Republican National Committeesaid they would fight back against the idea of a news program to inform Americans about the debate over health care reform, and despite the embarrassment it may have caused their official media arm, and having David Westin, chairman of ABC Newscalling bullshit on their whining, theyshowed the world that they meant business:

At least 20 House Republican lawmakers took advantage of the RNC's offer of free airtime throughout the day Wednesday to push back against the Obama administration's healthcare reform plans.

And while the President may have reached millions to talk about a plan that a majority of the country supports, those 20 brave Republicans ... ummm ... didn't.

All the Republics can do is whine!

How quickly they forget about Bush getting "free air time" to push his wars, to push for privatizing Social Security, to sell his tax cuts, etc.

How conveniently they forget that for the past eight years they have had their own network, called Faux Noose, that worked as the propaganda arm of the Republic Party, going so far as to read, as "news," White House talking points faxed to them daily by Karl Rove! Selective memory, huh Republics?

They are seriously deranged! They just can't accept the fact that they have lost the last two elections, and they have NO POWER anymore.

If they would have been given time to showcase their own health care proposal, it would have taken 1 or 2 minutes, as the proposal they revealed last week was 3 pages long, and included absolutely no numbers! The truth of the matter is, they have no plan! And the town hall meeting on ABC was not a DEBATE! It was the President of the United States presenting his case for health care reform to the people of this country. It wasn't a Democrat doing this. It was the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. The campaign is over. Obama won. The Republics just can't accept that.

If the Elephants had a brain between them all, they would come up with some proposals, they would devise some policy positions that would give the American people some kind of reason to possibly vote for them again. But, no. They can't do that. It's much easier to cry and whine, to hope the President fails so they can point fingers and scream and jump up and down. It's pretty ridiculous when your only strategy going forward is hoping the opposing party fails! How pathetic!

When are these fucktards going to get it???

How much lying is enough?

The RNC is moving me way beyond pissed off; right into furious.

Message to fucktards: you had better start dealing with reality or your grand ole party will cease to exist.

Wow.
