Limbaugh Blames President Obama for Sanford's Sex Melodrama

Who’s to blame for Governor Mark Sanford having an affair, abandoning his post without telling anyone or leaving emergency instructions, and becoming the latest poster boy for the hypocrisies of family values conservatism? Is it Mark Sanford? Eros? Not according to Rush Limbaugh!

On his show today, the self-professed head of the GOP —  you know, the party of personal responsibility — thinks the person responsible for Sanford’s affair isn’t Sanford, but President Obama.

According to Limbaugh, Obama — in direct contravention of his widely hailed intended purpose — has actually inaugurated an era of hopelessness. The latest victim of Obama’s pernicious plan, which also includes outlawing laughter, is Mark Sanford.

Here’s the sad tale of Sanford’s downfall, as told by Limbaugh: The South Carolina Governor had emerged a broken man from the battle over stimulus funds. (In reality, Sanford was fighting against crucial funding that would have kept South Carolina’s public schools functional and staffed with teachers.  In Conservative reality, Sanford waged an epic war for Freedom.)

With the battle lost, and only a limited time before the Federal Government took over and set about abolishing Freedom, Sanford decided: “What the hell? the federal government is taking over, i want to enjoy life.”

Who can blame him? What would you do if an asteroid was about to hit the earth, wiping out all life? Leave your job and screw.

I made up the asteroid part. But the rest is actually a pretty accurate approximation of Limbaugh’s argument. If you don’t believe me, here’s the audio clip from Media Matters:

Of course it's Obama's fault - everything is! Republicans being held responsible for their actions don't exist in Rush's world. Repubs are golden, so when they misbehave, it's obviously someone else's fault (he must have beeen quite the bully in grade school: "You little rat! You made me beat you up for your lunch money!")

Obama started the Cold War, too, didn't ya hear? Rush has proof!

The AIDS pandemic in Africa? Well, it's obviously Obama's fault (assuming that Rush will even acknowledge that such a problem exists)!

Susan Doyle losing in the finals of "Britian's Got Talent"? Obama again, that insidious guy - thinks he won an election or something...!

Why, I'll bet that if it wasn't for Obama, Rush would have never even heard of Oxycontin!

Why am I wasting another second on this lardball?

Nothing is the fault of a politician or actor. It's always someone else. Was Limbaugh joking? He fancies himself a comedian as well as the world's smartest commentator and diviner of the Truth.

This could be a Limbaugh bad joke. He basically hates all politicians of both parties: his ego is huge. He believe only He has the Answer.

Gov Sanford should flee all of these people. Maybe he'd like to be a park ranger? On the Appalachhian Trail. Or in Patagonia.

This thing has gone on for eight years. Nobody knew who Obama was back then. Is it possible that Bush scared the crap out of him and made him turn wierd? Now that makes sense. Anna

Rush had nobody in high places to pick on all through the Bush years. So he did his best to get the facts out that, the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Vietnam War, Kennedy's assassination, the assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan, the Chicago riots, the California fires, the Katrina disaster, Three Mile Island meltdown, and various other national catastrophes were all caused by, Hillary Clinton. The funniest part was, all his brain dead followers believed it!

What Do You Expect of the King of Trash-Talk Radio?
Posted by: SkeeterVT1 on Jun 26, 2009 3:22 AM
Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
As far as I'm concerned, "The Rush Limbaugh Show" has turned into total trash-talk radio, completely devoid of any credibility whatsoever.

Limbaugh is talking pure unadulterated trash -- with no proof whatsoever to back him up -- destroying what little credibility he had left.

At this point, even Jerry Springer is more credible (and more entertaining).

Obsessive Compulsive talk of a Lovesick School Girl

Current rating: 5    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
Rush is Infatuated with Obama. Desperate enough to use any tactic to talk about is Obsession. He's like a teenage girl who finds any reason to bring up the name of he boy she is head over heels about- even if to speak ill of him- Just to Say His name, just to claim she Understands his thoughts and motivation better than anyone else. Rush- You're acting like a Lovesick Schoolgirl!! Obama This ,Obama That, Obama, Obama, Obama....
Ventures into proclaiming his desire that the Country Fail as a result of Obama's policies.
Willing to throw the Navy Seals and Powell under the bus.
Now Sanford's affair was a result of Obama too?!?
Seems Rush thinks Obama is an Ominpotent God. The Entire World Revolves around what Obama says and Does.
Next Rush will start making Crank Calls to the Oval Office, just to hear his Voice speaking Directly to him on the phone. "Oh I love when he says my name!!"
Rush "Thou Protest Too Much", Your obsession is revealed by your compulsary need to say his name and attribute all that happens to him.
"and they Called it Puppy Love.."

Rush as got it wrong. It was O J Simpson that caused Gov Sanford to have an affair.O j forced him at knife point to do the nasty with the chick who some claim has a "bangin" body.O J was disturbed by the large numbers of black people in SC that are unemployed.

What bothers me is that scum like Limbaugh can get away with targeting people who right wingers kill and they pay nothing for it. Whenever these morons like Limbaugh or Michael Savage say crazy stuff ABC and NBC repeat it like it makes sense to them. He needs to be laughed off the air or protested by thousands everywhere he goes.

Limbaugh Is Dead Wrong - And So Are All Of You

It's painfully obvious that it's Bill Clinton who is to blame. He set such a high standard for philandering in office that the Republicans have no choice but to try to surpass him (and blame him for everything else). No - Obama isn't to blame for this - he's to blame for the Great Depression and the New Deal. He uses a time machine and is actually one of FDR's closest advisors.

It makes at least as much sense as anything fat boy says.

This is worse than Al Gore inventing the Internet.

Has Rush Limbaugh totally lost it? Or is the GOP and Right Wing in general just tossing aside Accountability and Responsibility?

How afraid of President Obama must they be?

This reminds me of Bush manipulating the American public through a culture of fear of what might happen.

I think that Rush's brain has turned to Swiss Cheese or something! So Barack has forced this Sanford into a plunging stage of hopelessness? He is beyond ludicrious. He is living in some La La Land that no one else is able to even find much less enter so that we could possibly try to understand his rantings and ravings.

I hope he is on some drug because otherwise this is his normal unaltered state of mind which means he is plumb crazy!! He would be pathetic but unfortunately he is more so dangerous as some do take heed of what he spews and actually believe his incessant rantings and then act based on this garbage!

I hereby apologize for creating such a piece of work as Rush. It was my intent to demonstrate to the universe that, yes all things are possible, even the creation of a life form that is totally devoid of any humanity or as in this case, redeeming value whatsoever. Thou it is my nature to be omnipotent, well I just overachieved, and I ask that you forgive me. I, being somewhat absent minded lately seem to remember there was a joke at the center of this demonstration, but it escapes me at the moment. Oh, by the way it was my mistake, Rush was supposed to be next, NOT Jacko. My bad.

I BELIEVE THIS AFFAIR HAS BEEN GOING ON LONG ENOUGH THAT OBAMA'S ADMINISTRATION CANNOT FAIRLY BE BLAMED FOR GOVERNOR SANFORD'S "HOPELESSNESS" SINCE IT STARTED WELL BEFORE OBAMA'S ELECTION. PERHAPS THE BUSH/CHENEY PRESIDENCY IS THE CULPRIT? IN ANY CASE, SANFORD WAS HOPING TO BE ON THE REPUBLICAN TICKET NEXT TIME AROUND AND THAT PARTICULAR HOPE HAS BEEN, FORTUNATELY, CRUSHED, NOT BY OBAMA BUT BY SANFORD HIMSELF AND A LADY IN ARGENTINA.

Obama Looking at Girl.....

Oh please. Are we really going to try to say Obama was looking at some woman's derrière because a camera caught him glancing in that direction? Are we going to say he was applying for a payday loan because his motorcade passed a payday loan store? I don't think so. It's time to report on the G8 summit and not on the ridiculous topics that are passing as news these days. I would personally get that payday loan if it would mean the G8 Summit would be reported on and not have to see another ridiculous report of Obama looking at a girl's derrière.
