After a recount that has gone on since the November election, a Minnesota court yesterday ruled that Democrat Al Franken received more votes than Republican incumbent Norm Coleman in the state’s U.S. Senate race. Coleman has said that he plans to appeal the ruling to the state’s Supreme Court, which “could mean weeks more delay in seating Minnesota’s second senator. After a statewide recount and seven-week trial, Franken stands 312 votes ahead. Franken actually gained more votes from the election challenge than Coleman, the candidate who brought it.” Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) has said that although having just one senator is hurting the state’s residents, he supports Coleman’s appeals.

Franken Won, He needs to be seated immediately

Sen. Al Franken has won the Minn. election. It is way past time that he be certified and seated. For the Governor to refuse to issue a certificate is obstructionist and wrong. It is up t the Senate at this point to immediately seat Franken and end this scourge of Republican petulance.

Of course, that's because irrevelant scumbags tend to hang with each other.

Coleman suffers from a classic case of abject denial. He will, nevertheless, see Al Franken seated as Senator.

Now if only Al Gore had exerted half the energy as loser Coleman in falsely contesting the votes, he would have been president and the twin towers of the World Trade Center would likely still exist. Very likely, in fact.

Lets see...Burris - no explanation there - dems at their best, Mark Begich - who won because of the Ak prosecutors illegal hit job on Stevens (wow, dems do play dirty) and now crazy Al Fraken.

Add up the last year or two and what do we see..We see what alays been there, politics at it's best. Steal any way you can!

Will we see the same uproar we did when the left accused Bush of stealing the election? I think not!

Let him appeal, just seat Franken first

Coleman should appeal until he is blue in the ass. I would do the same thing if I were that close in an election.

At the same time, we should put Franken in the Senate because he won the recount and is still ahead after a detailed trial. If Coleman somehow finds 400 more votes through his appeals, then he can replace Franken in the Senate.

Minnesota election

This Minnesota election process wreaks of
profound corruption. Between Soros, Acorn and
perhaps the courts, Minnesota will now send an
allegedly foul-mouthed, inexperienced comedian
as their representaive to Washington. Surely,
this will go down in American history as one of
the worst (best?) examples of dity politics.
Perhaps it is time for America to wake up to
the negative acceptance of the way politics is
conducted and maybe, just maybe, in 2010 & 2012
we can consult our consciences and reverse the
trend to more honest Congressional
representation.
