PBS showed an interview a year or so ago. They showed 2 gay men and a lawyer named Walsh who represents foster children in Florida. The owned a very nice house and had been foster parents to two little girls but were unable to adopt them. Walsh seemed like a nice guy and was stressing the importance of children having a permanent real home. He said,"I refuse to believe that the State of Florida can be better parents to these two little girls than these two gentlemen". I was convinced and still am. It's interesting to note that records have been kept for 30 yrs and there are no signs of child abuse. It appears to be a good arrangement. A much better idea than shuffling these kids around the system for years because no one wants them. By the way, they are sisters and would get to grow up together. If the courts truly have the childrens' best interest at heart they might consider what is best for the children. There will always be some group that objects to everything and the morally indignant crowd that disapproves of everything and everybody. The welfare of these children comes first. They deserve a shot at a normal life. It might surprise alot of people to know how little they care about having gay parents. In their short lives they've known lots worse arrangements. Maybe it's not a time to be judgemental. Thank,s ANNA
