Tuesday's election brought down the final curtain not only on a grueling, two-year presidential campaign, but also on a noisy season of political advertising -- one that included radio and television spots, internet banners, robocalls, a half-hour primetime infomercial, and an endless torrent of attack ads.

Think we're done with all that for a few years? Not by a long shot. After all, negative advertising is a hard habit to break, especially for our friends in the GOP.

What has this guy been doing the past 4 days?

I mean, by this point the Republicans would already have had a few new wars going and the rendition planes warmed up.

I can't believe that anybody can't see immediately that this is a joke.

Pretty clever, too. Thanks for the laugh!

...but there's a bunch of yahoo's out there that are lobbying for an Obama national holiday already!

I voted for the guy, but a national holiday? Give me a break!

I hope I'm wrong, but if this kind of crap keeps up, there's gonna be a whole lot of people out there really disappointed in a year or two when they discover he had to be a centrist to get anything done in D.C.

Give the guy a chance, but don't ever think he's some sort of Messiah!
