GRITtv With Laura Flanders Live Now:

Streaming on Oct 29: Noon EST, 9 am PST

Today marks the 79th anniversary of Black Tuesday, the stock market crash that precipitated the Great Depression. Today, we face another financial crisis of historic proportions and stand on the threshold, if polls are accurate, of electing an administration which promises to reframe both our democracy and our economy. Barack Obama's no socialist, and he's clearly out to save the system. So is it possible to preserve today's mad money empire, while also making it more democratic, more moral and more fair?

Today on GRITtv ARUN GUPTA of the Indypendent, TERESA GHILARDUCCI, Director of the Schwartz Center of Economic Policy Analysis at the New School and the author of When I’m Sixty-Four: The Plot Against Pensions and the Plan to Save Them, BENJAMIN BARBER, the author most recently of Consumed: How Markets Corrupt Children, Infantilize Adults, and Swallow Citizens Whole, and CHRISTOPHER MILARDI a former Wall Street trader discuss the future of American capitalism and the possibility of building a more egalitarian market system .

Corporationism is the antithesis of a Free marketand a Democracy
'Trickle Down' was nothing more than Feudalism with a Updated name. In fact it's name Indicates it innatley UnAmerican Philosophy!DUH!
We were Relegated to serfs as soon as the Federal Reserve seized Power.About as sound a judgement as leaving acard shark in charge of the casino vault!
It's not the Islamic Exteremist who threaten OUR Freedoms, They were Highjacked nearly a century ago. Teh Federal Reserve might as well chage it's title to King,Morgan stanely to Queen, and Exxon to Lord Oil,and GM the Duke of Detroit. Oh and the New Pope is an Evangelical.
Since it has been nothing more than determining Fifdoms. The 'Great Experiement' was sabotaged at the bginning of the last century.

Capitalism is greed driven, as the former Fed chairman has recently had to admit. The only way a free market works is if everyone is honest and above board and most people realize that wanting more and more money...more than anyone can spend in a lifetime...is greed.

Rich and greedy Americans need restrictions. They are more like children than adults when it comes to life without restrictions.

Stole your home, job, savings, vote, freedom and Country?
Uniquely American!

Any system based on a Negative human trait,
Such as GREED
Must FAIL and has.
Why prolong it any further?
It is a dismal failure.
It fails us all.

The Proof is in the Pudding!
When everything is owned by less than 1% of the Population,
The system stops.

Shit-Can it.
It is an Abomination!
He who lives by the Sword shall
Die by the Sword.
The Market has spoken.
So be it.

Good riddance and goodbye.
Let’s start over!
Surge,
Purge,
Update and
REBOOT!

We can do better.
Take the best of what are, love and know, and
Start over.
We need the Brightest and Smartest minds helping to build a new system:
Based on our Positive Progressive Human Ideals and Goals, instead of GREED.
We need roads, schools, solar cells, organic food, wind mills and
Electric vehicles, just for starters.
We will build a more efficient, self sufficient, self reliant Society that
Preserves our Environment while conserving it’s resources.

The System must be Updated to reflect and fulfill the needs of The People.
Join The Micro-Democracy Revolution.
Build where resources are and where they are needed.
Eliminate The Corp-Parasite Middleman.
Stop Playing:
Monkey in the Middle!

Build anew on the solid foundation that
The Republic of The United States of America was originally founded upon.
Dust off,
The Bill of Rights and add to them.
Strengthen and expand them by including these new 21st Century
Human Rights:
Health Care,
A living Wage,
Elderly Care,
Dental Care,
A Clean Environment:
Clean Air and Pure Water.
Expanding and strengthening every Citizens Human Rights,
Benefits us all.

Other Societies have a better Health Care System,
We can too.
Why settle for less?

Take our highest Values, Ideals and Goals and begin anew.
Stop throwing Good money after the BAD
It is a waste of Time and Precious Resources.
Capitalism is Dead.
Get over it!
Let’s have a Funeral Service, Bury it and
Start over.

It’s obvious
Tinkle down economics is BU__! SH__!
Media Monopolies are anti-democratic.
Censoring the News and Spewing Propaganda is an Illegal Criminal Act.
Spying on and Lying to The American People is criminal

A Free Press is the life blood of any Free Society.
Break up the Media Monopolies.
Free the Media!
One outlet in one market.

Disband The Dark Army.
Kick the Mercenary Corp-Pirate Army off American soil.
Bring The Militia Home and
END the WAR!

Peace, Friendship, Health and Prosperity to all,
Happy Holidays!
To everyone:
Pleasant Dreams and a Happy Good Night!
