Mullah Dobson explains why the presidential election isn't nearly as important as Proposition 8:

We've picked bad presidents before, and we've survived as a nation. But we will not survive if we lose the institution of marriage.
Got that? Gutting the Constitution, breaking the military, crashing the economy, and making the world hate us, no biggie. But letting gays get married, that's the end of the world. And not in a cool End Times, Rapture, Hello-again-Mr.-Jesus kind of way either.

Better yet, as emptywheel pointed out to me, Prop 8 won't just stop gays from getting married in California, it'll nullify all existing gay marriages. Because nothing will preserve the sacred institution of marriage like suddenly dissolving a whole bunch of 'em.

My grandmother got a letter from the mullah today. Seems our democratic Assemblyman (Al Stirpe, NY 121st) supports the gay agenda so she should vote for Dave Knapp (R, lardass).

He says Stirpe is in bed with Tim Gill, a Denver-based homo. Mr. Gill has apparently spent $150 million on homosexual advocacy.

I find his BS reassuring. Why?
All his complaints make Obama sound a lot better, saner and safer to me, check it out.

"Core Principles"

Questions from Andrew, "Core Principles"

What is wrong with this sentence:

"It would be silly and self-defeating for Republicans to repudiate conservatism's core principles of a strong national defense, limited government, constitutionalism and protection for unborn children."

You'll notice that three of the four are general approaches to government - and the middle two were directly attacked by the administration Wehner worked in. But the last is an actual specific policy.

This is perhaps a sign of what the Christianist right will demand: that a legal ban on all abortion be a defining principle of conservatism.

As to a legal ban on all abortion being a defining principle of conservatism, all I can say is, duh. I thought that was obvious to everyone, the more interesting question is, why? What holds this strange bunch of goals together?

Did you notice how internally inconsistent they are? A strong national defense is actually a totally opposite concept from limited government. That's interesting, then they follow it with another opposite pair, constitutionalism and protection for unborn children.

It is a very interesting strategy of opposing goals and does make one wonder why they do it. Personally, I think it is going to be a very hard sell. They won't get normal people to buy it.

The ban on abortion is part of their larger agenda (slavery),
believe it or not that IS the argument (all roads lead to Rome).

NOT IN AMERICA!
