The Anchorage Daily News, Alaska's largest newspaper, has endorsed Senator Barack Obama:

Gov. Palin's nomination clearly alters the landscape for Alaskans as we survey this race for the presidency -- but it does not overwhelm all other judgment. The election, after all is said and done, is not about Sarah Palin, and our sober view is that her running mate, Sen. John McCain, is the wrong choice for president at this critical time for our nation.
Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, brings far more promise to the office. In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand. The same cannot be said of Sen. McCain.

INTENTION is Key to Democra Goals

Many of you know of meditation and of making intentions and know how very effective they are. It is my intention that Barak Obama is our next president, and I believe that he has made that intention as well. If the millions of American voters who want Barak Obama to be our president not only vote (early, for vote-security purposes) AND also make the same intention...how can we fail?

MEDITATE FOR OBAMA.

INTEND THAT BARAK OBAMA IS OUR PRESIDENT

Sarah is Only Part of McCains Problem

She's a Blithering Idiot no doubt. But McCains problem is Soely McCain.
Had he stayed with his past facade of Mr Moderate he would have won this year. But Mac doesn't care why he wins, he just wants to win.
He's so Arrogant or senile to not realize it was NOT 1984 any longer, People are coming UnDrugged or UnGagged. The rhetoric and tactics they have used since Ronny have lost their Sheen, their potency ,their deceptive illusion.
Guess What the Middle class has realized the Repugs were Never talking about them as movers & shakers on tha 'shining Hill', They ave been the serfs.the only Way John mccains speeches and comments make ANY sense if put in th econtext of WHO his real audience is to be- the Wealthy Corps.'Fundementals are strong'...Why would you need to tell these 'Fundementals'(work force) they are Strong. To me he was signalling to the Corps, we can get more blood out of them yet.
And Why would the masses be afraid of 'Socialism' when 'Trickle Down' (Feudalism) has been fucking US for 30 yrs!
John McCain's history Proves He has NEVER worked for the Citizens of this Country, he has ALWAYS been a Butt Boy for the Corps (banking & Oil), just more so now as his own ambition to enhance his 'Glory Story' utterly takes over what remains of a Soul.
Your finally Biography has not yet been Written John...It may WILL have the Word 'Traitor' in it's title!

That's a HUGE, humiliating slap in the face for Palin, considering the state had usually bent over for any shitty repug candidate that came along. OUCH!!!

Democratic Paper choses Democrat- No Surprise

Before you all get to rejoicing too much....this paper endorsed Al Gore in 2000.
It endorsed John Kerry in 2004 and it endorsed
the Democratic running for Governor against
Palin. This is where the largest group of Democrats live in Alaska.....no surprise here.
The paper clearly chooses between McCain and
Obama with some side remarks about how even
though Sarah has been a good governer they have concerns about her experience to
be not vice President but President if McCain
should die. This isn't big....it is expected by this paper.

If Alaska voted for Obama? It'd be even sweeter if Arizona rejected mcblowhard.

I applaud the action of this newspaper. All of America must stand up and be counted. The Republicans are the real terrorists and criminals now!

A comment above ("Democratic Paper choses Democrat - No Surprise") claims there are "some side remarks about how even though Sarah has been a good governor .... ".

Click on the "read the whole article" link, there are no such "side remarks".

The closest it gets:

"Many Alaskans are proud to see their governor and their state so prominently on the national stage."
And
"She has made it clear she's a force to be reckoned with, and you can be sure politicians and political professionals across the country have taken note."
(Both direct quotes).

This is not even damning with faint praise. As someone said above, "ouch".
