Fox VP: Hate Crime Hoax Means McCain's Campaign Is 'Over, Forever Linked to Race-Baiting'

Following the Drudge Report's lead yesterday, news organizations picked up the story of a McCain campaign volunteer in Pittsburgh named Ashley Todd, who said that a black man mugged her, sexually assaulted her, and scratched a "B" into her cheek because she had a McCain bumper sticker on her car. The police quickly pointed out "inconsistencies" in her story. Todd has now confessed that she made up the story. On his blog yesterday, Fox News Executive VP John Moody, who is a Pittsburgh native, wrote that the incident's credibility was inextricably tied to McCain's campaign:

This incident could become a watershed event in the 11 days before the election.

If Ms. Todd's allegations are proven accurate, some voters may revisit their support for Senator Obama, not because they are racists (with due respect to Rep. John Murtha), but because they suddenly feel they do not know enough about the Democratic nominee.

If the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain's quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting.

For Pittsburgh, a city that has done so much to shape American history over the centuries, another moment of truth is at hand.

Yesterday, before Todd had confessed, the McCain campaign put out a statement about the incident, saying, "We're shaken up by this. It's sick and disgusting."

What the fuck does that have to do with "revisiting support for Obama?" Not that I EVER expect Faux Noose people to make sense, but this is truly baffling. My guess is he was grasping at straws to try to defend his hometown of Pittsburgh... but he did a lousy job of that! This isn't a reflection on the great city of Pittsburgh (go Steelers!), but a sad reflection on the type of people that support the McStain campaign and the Republic Party.

The ONLY thing he got right is the statement that McStain will FOREVER be remembered as running a race-baiting campaign. One that, come November 5th, caused him to lose the Presidential election.

I hate to admit it, but McCain/palin lovin' Fox has called it right - it is a hoax and the campaign and the race are over.

Can't the GOP control these freaks? Or do they just hire them?

Hope she enjoys her 15 minutes of fame and all her black friends (if she has any) desert her en masse.

I've read something about reaping and sowing, or some such bullshit like that.

Maybe the maverick and the mayor should have thought "hey, if we gin up all this hate and discontent, what are some potential outcomes?"

But of course "thought" isn't a descriptor I've seen used a lot when referencing their campaign to nowhere.

The depths of depravity

Ashley Todd deserves no sympathy. She had no concern that her story, had it not been proven a hoax, may have caused the injury or even the death of an innocent black man who may have just happen to fit her vague description. She wanted to destroy Barack Obama completely by fanning the fires of hate.

Todd knew exactly what she was doing when she filed a false allegation against a mythical "black man". She knew that if she had said a latino or a white male, she wouldn't have been believed from the outset, but a black man was certain to garner sympathy and outrage, because as we all know, black men are so violent, which explains why they're always shooting up schools and churches.

She knew exactly what to report--that she'd been robbed, sexually assaulted, beaten and then maimed. She knew those things-- especially the sexual assault--would generate the kind of insane backlash against Barack Obama and black people in particular. Black male sexuality, especially towards white women is a sure-fire guarantee of an instant lynch mob. Ask Harold Ford about the ad featuring a white woman blowing a kiss to him and saying "see you later."

She knew that white people who are already afraid that Obama is a secret Muslim who is going to put white people on plantations and staff his cabinet with the likes of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Jeremiah Wright--especially white men--would become even more out of control in their hatred towards Barack Obama.

She tried, and failed, to throw gasoline on a brush fire, but she also exposed the ugliness that has been pervasive throughout the McCain/Palin campaign.

The increasing number of episodes of hate surrounding the McCain-Palin campaign has become a national disgrace. It not only borders on racism (as the New York Times endorsement of Obama on 10-24 stated), but some incidents recently reported by AlterNet and other news sources show clear examples of fascist behavior.

This intolerance in America is the same that was common in the South some 50 to 100 years ago. Are we going backwards?

What has caused McCain to loose the Presidency?

Race baiting?
Poor judgement in choice of an emergency successor?
Calling his wife the "c" word and then saying it again last week?
Calling us Americans his "fellow prisoners"?
Voting for the "Bush Doctrine" 90% of the time?
Pandering to whomever is in front of him at the time?
Saying that the reason he is running a negative slanderous campaign against his opponent is that Obama would not do town hall meetings with him?
His complete BS excuse of flying off to Wash DC to help lead the Legislature and Executive Branches to an working solution to the financial crisis - before he would debate Obama?
The mainstream American (in both Real and Not-so-real America) discovering that he was (and still is) a traitor by his actions in Vietnam?

Obviously, I could write all the supposed reasons for McCain potential loss (we still haven't locked down Diebold, folks! Remember that!).

No, in my humble opinion, the reason that John Sydney McCain will experience a loss in his quest to become the President of the United States of America is because he has lost his integrity - and enough Americans are finally awakening to the fact that we want someone at the helm who doesn't crash and burn every jet he flies. John McCain never grew up - ha never let go of his boyhood and stepped into his manhood.

As a man, he would live in integrity, he would be accountable and responsible for his actions, he would make amends for his failures and seek to regain the trust of those he failed, he would honour women and he would offer quiet service in his community. That is what it mans to be a man. (Are these attributes confined only to men? No! But when you see a boy become a man - he lives by these things! Period!)

This is not about being politically correct. It is about maturation of a man. No matter how old John McCain is - he is still a boy. Hoping someone somewhere will rescue him from his latest calamity.

To sum it up - I would say it is one magic word - karma. What goes around comes around.

If he wins, and it is possible, it will only be by subterfuge and despicable actions of his party - who will win at any cost. WE not-so-real-Americans who are supporting and voting for "That One" may have a different way of looking at things. It involves fair play and support of the democratic process. We are the party of Washington and Jefferson and all of the founding fathers. Not one of them wanted to continue the Tory (Republican) lie.

So, it is our responsibility and opportunity to usher in a new day where All Americans - The United States of America - can proudly say we are one - out of many.

I pray it happens and John Sydney McCain will go home and take care of his Mum... and learn to be in integrity and become a man.

This was staged by black ops to ensure an Obama victory

Anybody ever hear of mind control -- you know, how they send young kids into schools to shoot 'em up so as to get people riled up to want to support gun control? Remember Sirhan Sirhan, an obvious patsy to take the rap for the RFK murder? Remember Oswald, another patsy?

We've all heard how the school shooters were all being "treated" by government psychiatrists and all on psychotrophic drugs.

I will BET you this young woman is one such person, and that she is a total victim of mind control, a patsy used by the government to ensure Obama's election -- lest people who are leaning toward him fink out at the last minute because of reservations about him because of his race. This was a staged event designed to stir up people's sense of justice to override racial prejudice that might stop Obama's win.

Obama was slated from the beginning -- four to one support by Wall Street, puffed by the media.

This eleciton is a total dog and pony show. I'm voting third party -- doesn't matter which one, just any of them to show the foreign banksters who are running this dog and pony show -- (and the same ones who have BTW pulled the rug out from underneath our economy with their financial coup)-- to show these devil worshipping monsters that I am not endorsing one of their "lesser of two evils" that have been shoved down our throat.

Nobody really had a chance to really "choose" either of the two main candidates. They were manipulated into their roles.

It's all a big staged event with the banksters pulling the strings and laughing to see how we react.

May God confound them all and turn their pranks back against them!

The depravity of Ashley Todd is "Palin comparison" to the organized electoral fraud of the GOP.

Her sociopathic behavior is the poisonous fruit of that once grand, but now corrupt, GOP, which is down to its last remaining card--the theft of another presidential election.

To you remaining die-hard Republicans: At long last, have you no sense of decency, no sense of shame?

Despicable piece of feces. I wanted to comment on his page but then I would have to sign up and I wouldn't be able to stomach that. People shouldn't be able to distribute misinformation like that. That this piece of slime, Drudge, has influenced our politics in such negative ways should be examined and he should be held accountable somehow. I vehemently believe in the freedom of speech but this guy yells fire in a theater and gets away with it. I hope his karma catches up with him.
