Yesterday the Los Angeles Times reported on the Republican voter registration outfit who had allegedly been illegally changing thousands of registrations from Democratic to Republican.

Last night the head of that GOP backed group, Mark Anthony Jacoby of Young Political Majors (YPM), was arrested by the California State Election Fraud Taskforce and the Oxnard Police.

According to California Secretary of State Debra Bowen's press release, Jacoby himself had committed voter registration fraud and perjury by lying on his own voter registration form. (That's similar to what Ann Coulter did, though she not only committed felony voter registration fraud, she also committed actual voter fraud, as well, even though such fraud is exceedingly rare.)

It was my pleasure to break this story today on Fox "News" of all places! Thanks to VotersUnite! editor John Gideon for getting it posted as I was on the roll towards the studio. I'll have the video up of my appearance on Fox, and the "Fox News Alert" I was able to do, later tonight.

Please note, this isn't the first time there have been serious problems with GOP-gathered voter registrations in CA, as outlined recently at Alternet. Looks like the GOP's voter registration record for errors far outpaced ACORN! Whaddaya know?

Digg!

Take action when you vote

I can't say it enough times: this election has to be seriously monitored as it's the most important election America has ever experienced and the Repugs will stop at absolutely nothing to win.

I really believe if you can't get a paper receipt, you must vote absentee ballot. The voting machines are already proving to be 'fixed' in many places; if your vote automatically switches from Dem or Repub, you should step out of the booth and immediately summon an election official to witness what has happened and insist that it be corrected on the spot. What a dirty group of individuals the Republicans have spawned. Their motto: care only about your profit/loss statement.

Getting out ahead of REAL Allegations

This is exactly the same tactic the Repugs have been using to deflect nefarious associations which they have and the real threat These pose to our national Security.
Ayers is Nothing compared to McCains Living Breathing connections to Saddam and AQ.Allegations about Obama or any other Dems involvemnt with Fannie & Freddie meltdown pales when faced with Phil Gramm and Rick Davis (and about another 98 Lobbists in Mac's Inner circle)standing ove rMacs Right Shoulder.
Are they so Stupid or arrogant to think that a mere claim ACORN is trying to 'steal' an elections will override, at Least, 2 well documented Thefts by Repugs?
this is not 'Projection' this is 'Deflection'. "Projection" is granted the notion that it is done subconsciously. These Numerous and Poignant attacks attest to the fact these accusations are well thought out and Stratedgic. So ultimately, what is commonly Referred to as 'Bearing False Witness', Not just out of Spite and Jealosy, But with the intention of escaping Prosecution for Deeds You are Guilty of Committing.
Add that to the long list of Mortal Sins and High Crimes McCain has Committed.
"Thou Protest Too Much"

YPM--not just in California

YPM is also being investigated by authorities elsewhere--e.g., Florida, Arizona. They may be taking Democrats off get-out-the-vote lists, but they're also making people really angry. Doesn't seem a particularly useful tactic.

When will people realize...

...registration is not the same as voting. If I am a registered Wobblie, that doesn't mean I can't vote for Obama. So all this consternation about "voter fraud" is mostly important when it comes to disenfranchisement due to data entry errors, name changes, etc. The important thing is to get everyone registered properly and legally, as much as possible.
