I might be the only person in America who doesn’t find the Saturday Night Live parodies of Sarah Palin very funny*. As a matter of fact I find them extremely unnerving - like they actually give Sarah Palin legitamacy. Sarah Palin is a dangerous, reckless, manipulative, stupid and soulless excuse for a human. There is absolutely nothing entertaining about Sarah Palin. She represents everything that has gone wrong with America in the past 35 years.

The country is falling apart right in front of our eyes. The financial anthrax that brought down Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch and Wachovia (among others) is slowing spreading to other countries and is about to hit to American businesses just in time for the Christmas selling season. You know Christmas, the season of religious joy, where many small businesses, especially retail stores earn 50% or more of their revenue in the 10 short weeks leading up to the holiday. Millions of Americans are employed directly or indirectly by these businesses (so far, mortar and bricks retail is hard to outsource), as are the suppliers, restaurants and shippers etc. that keep the consumer economy humming along. These are the people that Sarah Palin so warmly calls Joe Six Pack. Judging from her recent performances and malevolent speeches on the stump, she has no idea the credit "crunch" is about to hit her descamisados and hit them hard.

After her “liberating” performance in last Thursday’s VP debate, you are witnessing the resurrection of Sarah. She walks and talks the election trail like her shit doesn’t stink. The problem is this reinvigorated Sarah is sounding more and more like she is campaigning in Germany 1933 for the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei rather than Grand Old Party in America 2008.

She laments the "filter of the mainstream media" has held her back from talking about the issues. They play gotcha journalism with her.

Rove/Atwater rule #11 - Blame the media. It is a no lose situation.

But on the stump, away from the scrutiny of the “liberal” media, Palin continues to speak in incoherent generalities –you know the typical GOP faxed talking points - tax cuts, winning Iraq, and shrinking the government. Of course little Miss Mooselini provides virtually NO details on how she would accomplish those goals. But her fans just swoon adoringly.

Rove/Atwater rule #31 - Even if it looks bad, never deviate from the party line.

Don’t Cry For Me North Carolina.

Aside from worthless talking points about the so-called McCain/Palin government, in the past five days Palin has stepped up the attacks (one could say it is more like a blitzkreig) on her opponent – Barack Obama. (Make no mistake – Palin the narcissist thinks she is on top – I can only imagine what takes place under the sheets in Wasilla). While she probably never heard of the word, Palin is an exceptional prevaricator:

"Either do the math or just go with your gut," Palin said at a rally here this morning. "Either way you’re going to come up with the same conclusion — Barack Obama is gonna raise your taxes. So there’s a pattern here of a left-wing agenda that is packaged and prettied up to look like mainstream policies.
Rove/Atwater rule #23 - when in doubt just go back to calling your opponent a tax and spend liberal.

Talking to fellow douchebag William Kristol (which is a corollary to Rove/Atware rule #3 - it's OK to talk to friends), Palin is never one to let the facts get in the good way of a teardown:
“who the real Barack Obama is.” Part of who Obama is, she said, has to do with his past associations, such as with the former bomber Bill Ayers. Palin had raised the topic of Ayers Saturday on the campaign trail, and she maintained to me that Obama, who’s minimized his relationship with Ayers, “hasn’t been wholly truthful” about this.

I [Kristol] pointed out that Obama surely had a closer connection to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright than to Ayers — and so, I asked, if Ayers is a legitimate issue, what about Reverend Wright?

She didn’t hesitate: “To tell you the truth, Bill, I don’t know why that association isn’t discussed more, because those were appalling things that that pastor had said about our great country, and to have sat in the pews for 20 years and listened to that — with, I don’t know, a sense of condoning it, I guess, because he didn’t get up and leave — to me, that does say something about character. But, you know, I guess that would be a John McCain call on whether he wants to bring that up.”
Rove/Atwater rule #66 – When using guilt by association – smile and wink – and never, ever give an inch.

Palin is not a candidate for VP – she is suffering from an advanced stage of meglomania. She blatantly stirs up hysteria when she says that Barack Obama "pals around with terrorists," saying the Democratic presidential nominee's association with a 1960s radical is an issue that is "fair to talk about."
"Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country," Palin told a group of donors in Englewood, Colo. A deliberate attempt to smear Obama, McCain's ticket-mate echoed the line at three separate events Saturday.

"This is not a man who sees America like you and I see America," she said. "We see America as a force of good in this world. We see an America of exceptionalism.
Rove/Atwater rule #7 – You are always patriotic and your opponent always hates America – just never use the word hate.

I have had enough of this Brownshirt in high heels and phony glasses (yes Palin thinks she is Sally Jesse Raphael and wears non-prescription glasses for the ‘look’) . The last few days of the enlightened Sarah Palin seems lifted straight from the last few days of the collapsing Weimar Republic. Palin scares the hell out of me - she is reckless, she is dangerous, she is ruthless and now she is (in her own warped mind) omnipotent.

This is why I cannot find anything funny in lampooning this pathetic excuse for a woman of the people. And while Rome burns, the media cannot stop talking out the new Sarah – her charm, her wit, her appeal, her winking, her come hither approach, and of course - her folksiness.

Can anyone from the media talk McCain and Reverend Hagee? What about someone from the media delving into the fact that Palin was a member of the “patriotic” Alaska Independence Party? Can anyone from the media at least mention Palin’s own problem with the clergy – Reverend Muthee who had such kind words to say about the Jews:
The Bible says that the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. It's high time that we have top Christian businessmen, businesswomen, bankers, you know, who are men and women of integrity running the economics of our nations. That's what we are waiting for. That's part and parcel of transformation. If you look at the -- you know -- if you look at the Israelites, that's how they work. And that's how they are, even today.
Palin says we should be alarmed by Obama’s “ties” to William Ayers. What about the trembling when one of the Republican party’s favorite talking gals, Ann Coulter said:
My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not blow up to the New York Times Building.
Or this
“We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens’creme brulee,”
We all know that Palin's "pointers" about Obama are really just thinly-disguised racist remarks that are part of Republican election gamesmanship. Fer sure it is just gosh darn OK to infer these things as long as you are the white Republican, because nothing can be worse than the possibility of the Scary Black Man® in the big White House.

Finally Rove/Atwater rule #1 – always inject America’s fear of black people into the mix, but never ever mention the word race, Negro, African-American or any such term alluding to the aforementioned.

It was only a few short months ago that her rent boy running mate said:
“There’s no place for that kind of campaigning, the American people don’t want it, period,” Mr. McCain told reporters on his bus this morning. He said he had not seen the ad [referring to Reverend Wright] and hoped that he wouldn’t, but that he had been given a description of it. “I understand that it moves numbers, negative ads do all that, but that doesn’t mean it’s right,” Mr. McCain said.
Sarah was given her goose step marching orders -- change the subject and distract from the fact that she and McCain have no answers to real questions. Palin has made no effort to hide the fact that she is going negative to avoid a real debate (as opposed to the high school student council debate from last week) on the issues, arguments which the Palin/McLoser team has decidedly lost.

In Sarah Palin we truly have become the American Idol nation --- shallow, empty, a joke, void of all compassion - and lacking in any talent. If she keeps this pace up for the next month, Palin may ultimately become Miss anti-Congeniality - the most loathsome person in America.

...when I noticed your caption. She was here yesterday, and the local rag carried basically the same headline as they did when Bush came through town, "PALIN WOWS CROWDS". I don't know what's wrong with people, that they could be so completely blinded by her hate rhetoric. Someone recently posted that Palin made her skin crawl, just as Bush did in 2000 & 2004. I couldn't agree more. It's visceral!

...as insane and inane as it seems, McCain, and therefore Palin, will probably win. I truly hope I'm wrong, but in my 30 years of political awareness, I have never seen the American people vote in their own interests (except possibly for Clinton). Unless of course you mean the interest in TV, movies, sex, gossip, and religion. I share many of the feelings expressed in this article, and find the situation terrifying and not the least bit funny.
Every year that goes by, I find less to be proud of and more to be ashamed by nationally. We put "C" students and "B" movie actors in our highest office without a second thought to their experience or understanding... of anything. That makes McCain/Palin a shoe-in.
If only people wanted Rationality to make a Second Coming.

So she pulls of the 'Say it ain't so Joe' BS Line....but then proceeds to wave her hand towards Joe Biden when she says 'Joe Six pack' and "hockey Mom's like me'. Was this an Attempt to insinuate Joe Biden has a drinking Problem? Granted the Dems have their share of Partiers (Teddy), and have had their share of drug addictions...But Sarah had best becareful here..Her party not only has drunks, drug addicts.. but Pedophiles, self loathing closet homosexuals and Domestic & International Terrorist & their sympathizers..(Bin Laden was a 'Freedom Fighter'??There's alot of Admiration in that phrase for a man who ultimately Killed 3000+ of US on 9/11,Johnny Boy!)
Frankly living in a 'rural' area outside Flint, being a Blue collar worker, I am INSULTED by 'Joe Six Pack'- it implies Alcoholism and all detriments associated with it! 'Joe Six Pack' did Not drink himslef out of a Job...Joe Six Pack is Drinking because He HAS NO JOB TO GO TO, THANKS TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!!!
Want to know Why Mac Cut & Run Out of Michigan...Our True Blue Blood has reached it's boiling point and the Coward decided to save his Own Money, Reputation and (Political) Life!Funny how Mac places more value on such things when they Only pertain to HIM!
Sarah, as Oklahoman Radio personality says...Theres a 50 Gallon Drum of Whoopass Coming Mac's Way..You had better get the hell out of the way,Lipstick!

You are so correct in your assessment! What concerns me so much about the issue is the way CNN lets her get away with all the lies, deceit, scandals, and hate-mongering without so much as a peep about any of it. This is the scariest thing to happen in American politics in my lifetime. McCain should be tried and shot by firing squad just for giving this Hitler in a skirt a national platform. I hope that many of us can see that CNN has become the Dr. Frankenstein of this new era. They may not have created the monster, but they certainly want the monster to live, just to ensure their million-dollar salaries for years to come. Hide and watch: on November 5th, the CNN talking-turds will begin yapping about Ms. Hitler vs. Hillary in 2012. Their millions were solidified by the 70,000 that watched the VP debate. Don't you think they are salivating over 100,000 for the first national debate between two women? I encourage all Americans to stop watching CNN permanently from the first moment one of their talking heads begins babbling about the upcoming Palin/Clinton rivalry.

I just don't know how much more you could have said, You were spot on. This woman has always (since they first trotted her out) made me cringe. Then, when she put her family on national stage, which just reinforces her failed neocon(nazi) agenda, it made it worse. Now, that she is stirring up all this hate, division and racism, there is just no place for her kind in civilized society.
What little respect I had for McCain, and it was quite little, now I have lost ALL reapect for him. But this is McCains problem. Now he has a running mate that he himself probably cannot stand, and he's stuck with her. Good for him! What goes around comes around!

And your right about giving her so much air time.
I REALLY hope that SNL doesn't fall prey to an easy ratings ploy and put her on the thursday night political show like I've been hearing.
It would be the perfect platform for a egomaniac and pageant contestant to come across as "regular".
There is nothing regular about her.
She is vile, ambitious, and dangerous.

She is ruining a perfectly good name, one I have always loved. But future generations with young ladies named Sarah will no doubt only be the progeny of right wing Christian reactionaries who helped make this country what it has become since 1994.

Worth a look ..

Oct. 7, 2008 | "My government is my worst enemy. I'm going to fight them with any means at hand."

This was former revolutionary terrorist Bill Ayers back in his old Weather Underground days, right? Imagine what Sarah Palin is going to do with this incendiary quote as she tears into Barack Obama this week.

Only one problem. The quote is from Joe Vogler, the raging anti-American who founded the Alaska Independence Party. Inconveniently for Palin, that's the very same secessionist party that her husband, Todd, belonged to for seven years and that she sent a shout-out to as Alaska governor earlier this year. ("Keep up the good work," Palin told AIP members. "And God bless you.")

...

Vogler wasn't just a blowhard either. He put his secessionist ideas into action, working to build AIP membership to 20,000 -- an impressive figure by Alaska standards -- and to elect party member Walter Hickel as governor in 1990.

Vogler's greatest moment of glory was to be his 1993 appearance before the United Nations to denounce United States "tyranny" before the entire world and to demand Alaska's freedom. The Alaska secessionist had persuaded the government of Iran to sponsor his anti-American harangue.

That's right ... Iran. The Islamic dictatorship. The taker of American hostages. The rogue nation that McCain and Palin have excoriated Obama for suggesting we diplomatically engage. That Iran.

AIP leaders allege that Vogler, who was murdered that year by a fellow secessionist, was taken out by powerful forces in the U.S. before he could reach his U.N. platform. "The United States government would have been deeply embarrassed," by Vogler's U.N. speech, darkly suggests Clark. "And we can't have that, can we?"

...

The article goes on to speculate on what the right would have done if Michelle Obama had had ties to Black nationalists advocating armed secession, and Obama had poraised their work ...
