Is Palin Trying to Incite Violence Against Obama?

MCCAIN CAMP TALKS 'CHARACTER ASSASSINATION,'  SUPPORTERS SHOUT FOR REAL ASSASSINATION
At her last rally in Florida, Sarah Palin told the audience that Barack Obama "palled around with terrorists" adding,"I am just so fearful that this is not a man who sees America the way you and I see America."  Upon hearing the Republican VP candidate's concern that Sen. Obama might be a terrorist, a voice in the crowd cried out 'Kill him!'

McCain Campaign Amplifies Violent Rhetoric, GOP Crowds Threaten Obama's Life
The Washington Post's Dana Milbank reported an incident at a Palin rally that should open America's eyes to the central role violent rhetoric now plays in the McCain campaign. Milbank describes how Palin told the crowd in Florida that Obama has close associations with a terrorist who sought to bomb the Pentagon and the U.S. Capital, in response to which the crowd responded with a threat on  Sen. Obama's life:

"Now it turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man named Bill Ayers...And, according to the New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, 'launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,'" she continued.

"Boooo!" the crowd repeated.

"Kill him!" proposed one man in the audience.

Palin went on to say that "Obama held one of the first meetings of his political career in Bill Ayers's living room, and they've worked together on various projects in Chicago." Here, Palin began to connect the dots. "These are the same guys who think that patriotism is paying higher taxes -- remember that's what Joe Biden had said. "And" -- she paused and sighed -- "I am just so fearful that this is not a man who sees America the way you and I see America, as the greatest force for good in the world. I'm afraid this is someone who sees America as 'imperfect enough' to work with a former domestic terrorist who had targeted his own country." (link)

Palin's new rhetorical strategy signifies an alarming new development in the 2008 Presidential election, and one that has been not only been documented by such high profile newspapers as the Washington Post, but confirmed by the McCain campaign itself.

"It's a dangerous road, but we have no choice," a top McCain strategist recently admitted to the Daily News.  "If we keep talking about the economic crisis, we're going to lose."

(link)

The 'dangerous road,' however, is not just a generic attack on Sen. Obama's trustworthiness or honesty.  Rather, the McCain campaign has chosen to stand before campaign rallies and accuse Sen. Obama of hiding sympathies with domestic terrorists--to accuse their opponent, essentially, of being a terrorist.

With the McCain campaign now using the Palin stump speech to accuse Sen. Obama of hiding a terrorist agenda, the McCain campaign has staked its future on rhetoric that skirts the boundary between character assassination and incitements of actual violence against their opponent.

Meanwhile, while McCain is not yet accusing Obama of terrorism in his own stump speech, the crowds at his rallies are.

In a recent video clip from MSNBC, McCain asked a rally, "Who is the real Barack Obama?" In response to McCain's rhetorical question, a voice from the crowd can be clearly heard to shout in response, "Terrorist!" (link)

Since the start of the election campaign well over a year ago, voters have been subject to ongoing smear campaigns in emails and push polls accusing Sen. Obama of ties to and sympathies with domestic and foreign terrorist groups.  No matter how many times these smear campaigns have been exposed, they continued.  Now that John McCain and Sarah Palin have echoed these accusations--the idea that Sen. Obama is secretly a terrorist has the stamp of approval of a presidential campaign, but of a multi-term U.S. senator and a U.S. governor.

One wonders at this point how the various agencies charged with the responsibility of protecting the Presidential candidates from violence will respond to this latest tactic from the McCain campaign.  If, for example, a McCain supporter threatens the life of Sen. Obama by shouting 'Kill him!' at a Palin rally, should Sen. Obama's Secret Service contingent launch an investigation?  Having been accused of terrorist ties by the McCain campaign, will Sen. Obama's name be put on the 'No Fly' list, effectively making it impossible for him to engage in normal airline travel?

An even more basic question, perhaps: Is Gov. Palin trying to incite violence against Sen. Obama as part of an ill-conceived campaign strategy to change the topic from the economy at any cost?

Time will tell how law enforcement will respond, but one thing is already certain:  the more Palin and McCain incite calls for violence against Sen. Obama, the more their chances of achieving a victory in November disappear.

These are the same racist knuckleheads who are already convinced that Barak Hussein Obama is a Muslim, and therefore, by definition, a pal of terrorist. What is new?

Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Palin

I hope she isn't fooling the readers of this forum. The cheering Neo-Republicans/NeoCon crowds that Palin preaches to, are just what the "Doctor" ordered. Republican leaders should be embarrassed with Palins remarks, but since they have no shame, don't expect Palin to stop her "Slime Express" and get back on track with the real issues.
Palin doesn't know the real issues, and if she did, she wouldn't know what to do with them.
She reminds me of a washed-up Soap Opera Diva who is trying the same old tricks that she used to gain notoriety. Anything goes with Ms.Sarah, even allowing death threats to go unanswered.
Her next speech could very well include,"Death to the Infidel".
The McCain/Palin ticket is morally bankrupt, just like our economy is bankrupt. You can expect "more of the same" from those two, because that is all they have. McCain's ship is sinking with no real solutions in its' bag of tricks. So, the only thing they can do is detract from the issues.
Issue #1; The Economy. McCain's policy of deregulation got us here.
Issue #2; The War, which McCain supports, will be lost, if we continue as is.
Issue #3; The Environment. Everything looks "rosie" through those rose colored glasses.
Issue #4; Debt, which is just o.k. with McCain. Ten billion a mouth, just for Iraq, and keep on bailing out his buddies on Wall Street...no problem.
What did I forget? Why should I remember, John and Sarah can't remember either.
Oh, well. See you at the polls on Nov. 4.

OF COURSE Palin and McCain equate Obama with being a terrorist. It is part of the Bushies' nature to accuse EVERYONE who is even slightly opposed to Bush policy of being a terrorist.

It is also part of typical Republican campaign strategy (Karl Rove) to accuse your opponent of your own worst failings.

So, two things to get from this: Palin/McCain are tight with the Bushies, and Palin/McCain are terrorists, or at least plan on carrying out a reign of terror if elected.

"He's the One" ad a call for assassination
Posted by: PeaceLove on Oct 7, 2008 4:05 PM
Current rating: 4    [1 = poor; 5 = excellent]
A close friend of mine is convinced The One, the McCain camp's "satirical" anti-Obama ad, is actually a hidden call for his assassination. The radical pseudo-Christian right has a very developed Christian theology that warns against "false prophets." The One is as much a warning as it is a satire.

The ad may be designed to cause consternation among right-wing viewers, and action among the most psychotic of them.

Given the recent ramping up of violent rhetoric, my friend's theory seems more and more likely. The Right likes to win by whatever means necessary. If Obama were assassinated by a deranged outsider, the establishment Right would have the plausible deniability they work so hard to maintain.

Thank you Huffinton Post for outing the implied intentions of the 'PP's' inflamatory lies and allegations. I was beginning to think, from my perspective across the Pond, that I was the only one who had picked up on its sinister agenda. Forget lipstick, what it needs is a muzzle - its dangerous.

Palin's New Career Ahead

Yes, Shrieking Sarah has shown herself to be a vacuous, incomptent stooge who is willing to say anything it takes to keep the tv and press cameras on her. The cries of "traitor" and "kill him" seemed not to alarm her. Her smiles and giddiness and winking continued as though she were happy to get the lunatics in the crowd whipped up. I suspect that one day after McBush is defeated, she'll wind up with the Fox Newsfixers. Her shreiking offensive voice will fit well with those of the current crop of female propagandists over there. However, it may turn out that she'll have to become a blonde as a job requirement.

What she really craves is attention. Anyway and at anyone's expense. She is mean and selfish. I think that's the appeal to so many women. She behaves in a way that they never could or would. They live vicariously through her and is comes through as admiration. After this steady diet of cheering crowds how will she ever go back to the "small town" life she claims to love so much? I don't think she can. ANNA

LOOK AT THE B***H'S FACE!

My husband was the first one to notice it - I was too busy trying not to throw up at this creature's words. He said "Watch her face!" I did and it made me even sicker - she was looking around the crowd and SMILING WHEN THE PERSON IN THE CROWD CALLED OUT "KILL HIM" AND THE CHEERS THAT FOLLOWED! It was horrifying and disgusting. She is feeding off the crowd like a parasite, and she is goading them on deliberately, so when they cheer at these comments, she knows that they are doing exactly what she wants them to do! It reminded me of every picture of Hitler giving speeches to cheering crowds, or Bush's speeches as he explained to crowds why we needed to invade Iraq, or almost any dictator who speaks to crowds in their nations who are too afraid to speak out. It was just plain terrifying, and I do not scare easily! It was feral and evil in every meaning of the words!

This started in the primary season with Hillary's comments about a possible assassination of Obama, and this group of monsters saw two drunks decide to try. Now they are deliberately egging this violence on, and should be arrested for inciting to violence. They are deliberately, with malice aforethought and with intent, encouraging crowd violence or individual action against Sens. Obama and Biden, by calling them Terrorists and implying that they would side with terrorists in attacks against Americans. This is called hate speech, and it is the basis for hate crime legislation in every state in this country, and in most federal hate crime legislation!

If any thing happens, or is even attempted, these two plus Hillary should be arrested for inciting the actual perpetrators to act. Obama and Biden are in great danger, not from this country as a whole, but from these lunatics and their backers who want a theocratic-based fascist state with them in charge. These people, especially that parasitic narcissistic bitch Palin, should be arrested immediately and put on trial for hate crimes! But of course, as long as the Secret Service takes order from DC, no action will be taken and no adequate protection will be provided except for show for Sens. Obama and Biden. God help them, because it is sure that with McCain and Palin on the stump, no one else will.

My prayers go out to Sen. Obama and his family, and to Sen. Biden and his. I hope that there are those in the crowds who cheer for them who will have the courage to protect them when they need it, because I seriously doubt if anyone assigned to protect them will. This country is in serious trouble when candidates like Palin are running for one of he highest offices in this land, and millions of people agree with her and revel in her hate, false religion, arrogance and ignorance!
