Radio talk show host Ed Schultz reports:

Capitol Hill sources are telling me that senior McCain people are more than concerned about Palin. The campaign has held a mock debate and a mock press conference; both are being described as "disastrous." One senior McCain aide was quoted as saying, "What are we going to do?" The McCain people want to move this first debate to some later, undetermined date, possibly never. People on the inside are saying the Alaska Governor is "clueless."

On Friday, conservative columnist Kathleen Parker said that after seeing Palin in interviews, she thinks the vice presidential nominee should drop out.

McCain's Judgement

Whether what Ed Schultz claims is true or not, it is OBVIOUS that Palin is indeed clueless, to say the least.

Whether Palin drops out or she stays in, Democrats have to make damn sure that it is MCCAIN'S JUDGEMENT, when he picked her to be his running-mate, that is at issue.
One thing is clear about McCain from a rash of bad decisions he has made recently: He is seriously losing it.

Lowering Expectations

It occurs to me that these leaks about Palin's mock debate going horribly may be intentional so as to lower expectations of her coming performance.

Seriously, though, all she has to do is show up, and she will beat expectations. But will there even be a debate? Watch for something sneaky to be pulled by the Repugs between now and Thursday.
(Maybe a body-double? A hidden ear-piece? ...I wouldn't put it past Karl Rover-boy.)

Seems to me this is just another "Oh poor little Sarah; she's sooo inexperienced she can't possibly have a chance against such a super-human debater as Biden."

It's a fact that an underdog can only win, so the desperate, amateur mccain team is grasping at this to save their campaign. Oh yeah, real bright - as if the American public is stupid enough to change their vote if palin - surprise, surprise - is better than expected. This is nothing but another pitiful, transparent ploy, complete with that lovely aroma of rovian failure.

Whatever; it's just so much fun to watch these GOP idiots flailing around like a bunch of headless chickens on PCP!

I used to tense up about the presidential/VP debates. No more. Now, whenever McWingNut or Caribou Barbie open their mouths, I bust out laughing. Anybody who takes these inarticulate bottom feeders seriously ought to be committed to an asylum.

Feeling guardedly optimistic!

I wonder what they are saying about her on main street? I realize I am willing to look at the evidence - and willing to see what it indicates. This puts me in a minority of the voters. What about those who are unwilling - what are they saying/thinking now? Are they having success clinging to denial?

Someone should have taken away his Viagara before turning him loose to pick a running mate. In every video I've seen, from the convention ON, McCain hasn't been able to keep his eyes off Palin's backside. And if you look at Cindy McCain's face when the 3 are on screen at the same time, you'll KNOW that's the truth and the ONLY reason McCain PICKED her. Cindy keeps saying her HUSBAND hasn't done anything wrong, but her FACE tells the story that she's beginning to wonder. She is NOT a happy camper.

Do you mean to tell me that Dumb and Dumber was really a documentary about the VP vetting process?

Sarah Palin has been watching Sesame Street, trying to cram in some smarts before the debate.

But isn't this what men like? Women with brains make men and their little wienies go limp! We can't have that!

I believe article 26, section 93 of the constitution says, "and ye shall value a tight ass above brains as that is the American way."

The only part of that post that I needed to read...

...was that Sarah Pahlin was engaged in private debate and interview lessons.

Regadrless of how they went, the fact that it happened at all is completely ridiculous. The Republicans picked a running mate for McCain who needs to be tutored and coddled and prompted every single step of the way.

Forget for a second the she, on some stroke of bad luck for all could end up president. If McCain happens to pull of this election she will be VP. So this trainwreck of a candidate is to preside over the Senate? She cant even face Kouric with any semblance of intellect.

What if both McStain and Satanic Sarah BOTH dropped out right now? We could all begin to breathe easier and begin to all work on the current economic disaster.
