Heartthrob actors Ryan Phillippe and Channing Tatum star in this melodrama directed by Kimberly Pierce about Iraq War veterans grappling with the challenges of returning back home to America. A conflict emerges when Phillippe's character is called up yet again to serve in Iraq, a tragic situation which those of us who follow the war and the families who have loved ones serving in Iraq are all too familiar with. Will Stop Loss have the same fate of other Iraq war-themed films and box office bombs, In the Valley of Elah, Lions for Lambs and Rendition? Only time will tell. Check out the trailer for yourself to see what you think.

The petition asked for something simple of Congress, do not take any vacation and keep working until we have a definitive Bill to bring our Military home from our Illegal Occupation of Iraq entering its 6th year.
One, is the answer, OH WHO? Who do you think, Dennis Kucinich, on the spot.
What a spinless bunch of scum we voted in with such high hopes. Like all dancing in the streets when the Dims stood up and passed the FISA bill, or was it? When I look at the Vote Count the morning thomas.gov has recorded it and see Dennis voted Nay I immediately print out the Full Text, not the CRS Summary, I read all 185 pages. It is an Amended Amendment, the actual FISA w/o retroactive immunity bill is on the Senate calender.
As I muddled theough, strike 1(a), of Section whatever, I would pay particular attention to SEC.405.NO RIGHTS UNDER THE FISA AMENDMENTS ACT OF 2008 FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS.(WORKERS, YOU SCHMUCKS)
SEC.406.SURVEILLANCE TO PROTECT THE UNITED?STATES.
(1)prevent Osama(sic)BIN(sic)Laden,
al-Qaeda, or ANY OTHER TERRORIST OR
TERRORIST ORGANIZATION from the
United States, any United States
person, or any ally of the United
States;

Undocumented workers will have 0 rights, 'Black Site' for 3 years, per chance?
Used misspelling of Usama bin Ladens name without adding (transliteration), if you or I handed in a brief to a Judge like that it would be thrown out on a technicality!
Notice they threw in a bit of H.R.1955, no definition of terrorist or terrorist organization, me. Veterans for Peace, CodePink, whom????
So much in there that now I know why, thanks Dennis, a Nay from him is a Flag.

Also, off topic, but anyone that has Comcast as their carrier and recieved a pamphlet that is supposed to explain changes, read it carefully, as soon as I did I called and cancelled. I only watch Keith Olbermann, The Daily Show and the Colber(t) Repor(t), so F them!

No,this isn't a new song by Cher!

It sadly is a description of the President, Vice President and top officials of the REPUBLICAN controlled Congress and Senate who are actively destroying this nation every day by their combined violations of their allegiance to this Nation. How much longer will America let them "stay the course" at a cost of $18 BILLION per month! How many more of our "'Stop Loss' Troops" will be compelled to serve in Iraq time after time while Blackwater hired thugs make five time the pay and have immunity! How many "citizen's" and your friends can be proud to call themselves a "Republican" and support their causes?! How long can you be a friend to such a person?! How long will you support giving tax relief to millionaire's and corporations?! Do your children plan to live in this Nation on this planet?

We fought for country(!!!)

huh?

We fought for family!?!

yeah right!

We fought for freedom !?

oh give me a break.

More white young guys getting all sweaty and bonding to celebrate their 'sacrifice'. And some of them actually care about 'what we did over there' ostensibly to the iraqis threatening country, family and freedom (CFF).

This is what is sold to the public through the new war propoganda film "Stop-Loss".

I can't help thinking that some returning vets may be psychologically harmed by the adulatory way liberals treat them as they struggle with the real consequences - murder and devastation - of what people insist is their sacrifice for CFF.
