They are, of course, willing to tolerate him for ratings.

In a forthcoming biography of Rupert Murdoch entitled "The Man Who Owns The News," author Michael Wolff reports that the Fox News bosses have no fondness for Bill O'Reilly but are willing to tolerate him for his ratings:

"It is not just Murdoch (and everybody else at News Corp.'s highest levels) who absolutely despises Bill O'Reilly, the bullying, mean-spirited, and hugely successful evening commentator," Wolff wrote, "but [Fox News chief executive] Roger Ailes himself who loathes him. Success, however, has cemented everyone to each other."

"The embarrassment can no longer be missed," Wolff wrote, in another section of the book. "He mumbles even more than usual when called on to justify it. He barely pretends to hide the way he feels about Bill O'Reilly. And while it is not that he would give Fox up--because the money is the money; success trumps all--in the larger sense of who he is, he seems to want to hedge his bets."

The GOP and Technology = Water and Oil
It's just awkward (and funny) to listen to Republican leaders talk about how hip they are to the tools the kids are using on the tubes.

Fox News Claims 'Magic Negro' Text Was 'Inadvertently Cleared for Air'
Fox New has a history of allowing racially-charged language aimed at Obama and his family to make it on air and then claiming it was simply a mistake

Does anyone actually think O'Reilly becomes a prince among men when the camera stops rolling?

High Ratings? Yea, among 70 year olds.

The Republican echo that is FOX news is happy to have Billo screech even with his CRAPPY ratings... because those 'good ratings' are in the demographic of 70 year olds and up. A prime voting block.

Isn't that true?

That's all.

Yet, Billo is still given star "news" treatment. Hell, he was on John Stewart's show last week. If you thought The Powers That Be who own the media were anything but cynical polemicists I've news for you.

Having worked in the "entertainment industry" for years I can say those lovely, wonderful personalities you see on TV are mostly sharks, that would bite your head off in a second. They have to because someone is waiting to take their place at a moments notice!

The stories of Olbermann being a total asshole is wide spread, he is just an asshole both on and off camera with no ratings!

What really matters is how they go about doing their jobs. O'Reilly is one of the more balanced acts on Fox and his ratings shows that! Just ask Obama!

Poor Bill-o. He must feel so isolated and depressed! My heart bleeds.

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me. Guess I'll eat a worm!

Reportedly, Mr. O'Reilly ate 945,237,092 worms over this shocking revelation. Then he topped it off with fried loofah for dessert, moaning the entire time how he is just a misunderstood champion of truth, justice and the American way.

Granny's crazy videos = Go get a chuckle! (including one called Humiliating Bill O'Reilly. Gotta go see it!)

Luv,
Granny
